About this property

By pushing the gate, you will discover the unobstructed view overlooking the roofs and you will be surprised by the volume and the charm of this peaceful place. Nestled between the neighboring houses, the old stone house and its large L-shaped swimming pool are not lacking in character! Around the south-facing swimming pool, you will enjoy the sun all day long. The large covered terrace is the perfect place for gourmet lunches and reading in the shade. Upon entering the house, you will discover a lovely newly installed kitchen and its large convivial table. A magnificent staircase separates it from a large living room with open fire which opens onto the spacious covered terrace thanks to a large picture window. The house and the swimming pool area have been completely renovated. The decoration is sober and bare. The house is located in a very quiet lane because it is too narrow to drive there. Possibility of parking at 50 meters.
Le Pin is a very pretty little village. It is surrounded by scrubland, vineyards and forests of holm oaks.
The ideal geographical location in Gard provencal, the sunniest region in France, allows "within an hour" to get to: Uzès, Avigon, Orange, Arles, Nîmes, the Cevennes, the Mediterranean, ... The spectacular Pont du Gard is 30 minutes away.

Superb house in a quite lovely village

The story of our stay is very easy : reality matches 100% with the lovely pictures. Wonderfull pool. Very good communication with the owners and the lady who looks after the property. Was perfect for us, our 2 Sons of 1 and 3 and the grandparents.

Elegant holiday home

We spent a very happy week or so at Derriere le Portail. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The house has been decorated with care and is well looked after by Noor. The pool was a hit with the children and it was great to be able to sit under the shaded veranda and watch them play. The village is very peaceful and there are plenty of places within easy reach. We enjoyed trips to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon. We thought the holiday was excellent value in a beautiful part of the world. Many thanks!

Quiet place in the sun

Well proportioned and well equipped villa with lovely pool. Quiet village with no shop but lovely quirky brocante selling simple tapas and drinks. Boulanger visits every morning with a hoot of the car horn to get people running. No parking at villa seems problem at first but really not an issue, always places to park less than 100m away and good excuse for a glass of rose at the brocante first. Lots of great villages and towns nearby for visits and dining out.

Beautiful House

This is a beautiful village house which lives up to its representation on the website. The owners, Catherine and Thierry, were very helpful and friendly both when arranging to book the holiday and contacting us afterwards to check all had been well. We particularly liked the L shaped pool, the views from the house, as well as the accommodation which was well equipped and very comfortable. We found plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Excellent séjour !

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine en famille. Nichée dans un cadre splendide et calme, la maison est magnifique, pratique et très bien équipée. Nous avons tous bien apprécié la terrasse pour nos repas, l’ombre de l’olivier pour nos petits déjeuners et bien sûr la piscine. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous et nous aimerions bien revenir. L’accueil avec Noor a été parfait !
