Excellent week

We enjoyed a lovely week (October 2-9) Vittorio was an excellent host even helping us contact the rental company when we received a flat tire at 10pm. You will definitely need a car for this location. There is a small grocery just down the hill from the house. We visited Positano and the beach on Nerano My children 10 and 14 swam in the sea both days which was not too cold.

Nettes Haus mit kleinen Schwächen und grandiosem Ausblick

Wir haben selten in einem so umfangreich ausgestattetem Ferienhaus gewohnt. Schön und liebevoll dekoriert, mit einer technischen Ausstattung, die selbst mich als Technikbegeisterten erstaunt hat. Da ist von WLAN bis hin zu USB-Steckdosen alles da um auch mal einen Regentag zu überstehen: Zwei Settopboxen (die leider nur ARD, ZDF und SRFinfo als deutschsprachige Kanäle liefern), Bluray-Player inkl. einem Stapel Filmen und ein AppleTV sorgen dafür dass ausreichend Möglichkeiten da sind, TV in allen Zimmern sind zwar da, haben wir aber nicht genutzt - unser italienisch ist dafür zu schlecht ;-). Das Badezimmer ist neuwertig und wenn es doch mal kälter wird (wir waren im Oktober dort) leistet die Heizung gute Dienste. Aber: Die Regenwalddusche ist nur für Leute von 1,60m Körpergrösse gemacht. Ansonsten duscht man gebückt, - aber dafür mit Blick auf Capri..Das ist echt schlecht gelöst, da rettet auch die Whirlpoolfunktion der Wanne nichts. Die Terrasse ist wunderschön, der BBQ-Platz zweckmässig und ein wenig pflegebedürftig. Der Pool wiederum ist gut in Schuss, auch wenn wir ihn kaum genutzt haben. Jede Menge Pool- + Gartenmöbel (zu viel) runden die Ausstattung ab. In der Küche ist alles da, aber einiges müsste mal erneuert werden. Die Betten sind bequem, Stauraum ist ausreichen vorhanden. Das Haus ist mit 2-4 Personen optimal belegt, für 6 wäre es mir zu eng. Vittorio, der Vermieter ist sehr nett, unkompliziert, hilfsbereit und spricht gut englisch. Ausserdem wurden bereits einige Lebensmittel als Willkommensgruss deponiert - das war toll, danke! Man wohnt echt ruhig. Aber: Man muss wissen, dass man sein Gepäck, Einkäufe und alles Andere erst rd. 300m bergauf tragen muss, da die Zugangsstrasse maximal für Kleinstwagen (original FIAT 500 oder ähnliche) befahrbar ist. Für Menschen, die Ruhe suchen perfekt. In der Nähe gibt es einen Tante-Emma-Laden für das Notwendigste, dass war es dann. Will man auswärts essen, nimmt man das Auto. Zu Fuss würde es sehr mühsam. Nicht zu unterschätzen: Durch die sehr enge Verkehrsführung (man sollte Kurven lieben) braucht man sehr lange für alle Fahrten (5km gut 20min, Sorrent gute 20min, Neapel >1h). Das sollte man bei seinen Planungen berücksichtigen. Parken ist von Neapel bis Salerno nirgends wirklich einfach - alles voll, Parkhäuser eher selten. Trotzdem: wunderschöne Landschaft, absolut sehenswert und wer gut + gerne Auto fährt hat grossen Spass. Alternative: Roller mieten ;-).
