A lovely week with family and friends
I looked for a place in Wales to stay with 10 people. I found this very nice house for a reasonable price. The location suited us well. The beach was nearby and beautiful places to visit as well. The train track in front of the house did not really disturb us too much.

Family holiday for three generations
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The preparation area for food was.a little cramped when preparing for a large group. The huge table was excellent! It would have been nice to have a visitors book to sign and give other visitors personal experiences of the local area. On the whole it was a very enjoyable stay.

We loved the arrangement of this house. Large dinning table in the kitchen is a win for everyone.
We were a group of 8 family members coming together to spend a week doing some lovely walks and exploring different areas. We had a wonderful day at Zipworld with all of us completing the descent. It's utterly amazing! We enjoyed the close proximity of the train and used this to our advantage to save drivers. The level crossing alarm is very heard from the house but serves as a perfect alarm call for someone to get up and make the tea in the morning! The trains are not frequent and are short, slow and gentle when they do pass. We missed having a good local pub as in previous venues this has been something we have all enjoyed, but there wasn't really the type of pub we like, these were more sports bars - not our scene. Harlech town is also quite small, but we caught the train to Barmouth a couple of times and enjoyed walks from there including a mooch around the busy town and a pint in 'The Last Inn'. Fairbourne steam train was really great, we went by train to Fairbourne and then climbed up to see the Blue Lagoon and returned back to Fairbourne and caught the steam train part way back to Barmouth, completing the journey on foot for the last 2 1/2 miles. This included crossing the main bridge over the channel and we thoroughly enjoyed doing this. We wanted to catch the little ferry boat that would take us across the water to Barmouth, but unfortunately it wasn't running. Maybe next time. All in all, a lovely week in a lovely house that we would all recommend to other groups considering Harlech.

Great spot for a family get together
Our three generations had a lovely stay at the property, it's a smashing place with everything you'd need and a great location too! Having said that, for light sleepers there is a train line right outside and our bedroom at the front of the house felt like daytime at night because of the street lighting and thin curtains. Would certainly recommend though!
