Truly Amazing Visit

My husband (and business partner) traveled from the states to Portsmouth for a conference at the historic dockyards. This was like a home away from home. The loft is very spacious and well equipped. Much like the type of space you would see in a condo in the United States. The master bedroom is large with a large en suite bathroom with shower. The 2nd bedroom was also large. The main bathroom has a beautiful tub/shower. The kitchen is well appointed with very nice appliances including a dishwasher. The unit comes equipped with a washing machine, which we used a lot. The living area has an additional daybed in a cozy corner. The dining table can seat 6. The furnishings are beautiful.

However I must say the best feature of the loft is its location. Right next to the water. We opened the windows in the evening to have the gentle breezes from the harbor put us to sleep. The area is very quiet.

The loft is just steps away from Gunwharf Quays. Even though there is a kitchen in the loft we ate out at gourmet restaurants that over look the water almost every night and then walked back. However if you want to eat in there are groceries within a very short walk. Just next to Gunwharf Quays is the historic dockyard where we explored tall ships and museums from the 1700s.

Between Gunwharf Quays and the dockyard is the Hard Interchange where you can get a train or bus to almost anywhere. We had business in London and hopped on a train and got there very quickly. At the harbor you can take a ferry or the Hovercraft to the different British Islands or even over to Paris!

The owners of the loft were terrific to work with. We want to go back for Christmas. I totally recommend this property. You don't want to miss it.
