This attractive and very well equipped 5-bedroom villa is fully air-conditioned and sits in a wonderful mature walled garden with a lovely pool area, located between Pollensa and its beaches. Sleeping between 6 and 12 guests, it is ideal for one or more families.

Ca’n Mir is a traditional, attractive, comfortable and very well equipped 5-bedroom villa, which is fully air-conditioned and new to the holiday rental market. Built of stone and finished and furnished to a very high level, the villa has cool terracotta tiled floors, traditional wooden beamed ceilings, wooden doors and is decorated in relaxing pastel colours.

The villa is very private and sits within a large walled garden full of colourful mature shrubs, majestic palms and trees interspersed with areas of lawn, which in turn sits amongst extensive grounds mid-way between the charming old town of Pollensa and the beaches of the Bay of Pollensa. The villa offers very flexible accommodation and sleeps from 6 to 12 guests, making it ideal for three couples or one or more families.

The entrance is through a traditional Mallorquin wooden front door into an attractive hallway. A magnificent staircase with wrought iron balustrade leads to the first floor.

On the ground floor, the hallway leads into a large open-plan living room with a tiled floor, beamed ceiling and white walls. The living room has a separate sitting area with comfortable sofas, satellite TV, DVD and Wi-Fi; there is also a separate dining area with a feature dining table. Doors open from the dining area of the living room to a large covered terrace (extending into a vine covered breakfast area), which is furnished for dining and for just sitting relaxing with a book or a drink. The entire terrace leads to the gardens and swimming pool.

The kitchen opens off the dining area and is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a separate utility room which houses the fridge/freezer, washing machine and drier.

On the ground floor there is an air-conditioned twin bedded room with an adjacent full bathroom. The dining area of the living room leads, via a small sitting room, to a wing of the house which houses two large air-conditioned bedrooms, one with twin beds and the second one equipped with two sets of bunk beds large enough for 4 adults or for 4 children. Each of these two bedrooms also has French doors to the gardens and they share a shower room.

On the first floor there are two comfortable and attractively furnished bedrooms. The master bedroom, with magnificent views over the pool, gardens and surrounding mountains, has a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with double wash-hand basins; doors lead from this bedroom on to a private balcony. On this floor, there is also a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

Outside

The magnificent walled garden covers an area of 4000 square metres (just under an acre), and is bounded by a stone wall, which makes it very private, and an oasis of colourful mature shrubs, majestic palms and trees interspersed with areas of lawn. The pergola running along the perimeter of the stone wall gives this area a wonderful cloistered effect. Within the walled area lies a furnished sun terrace beside the swimming pool, measuring 16m x 5m with a deep end of 2m and a shallow end of 1m. There is also a built-in barbecue.

Outside the walled garden the grounds of the villa cover a total of nearly 20,000 square metres, making it a property of some substance. Access to the villa is via a long driveway bordered by rhododendron bushes and fig trees, opening onto a Spanish oak copse leading to a graveled courtyard surrounded by extensive shrubberies. The grounds at the rear of the house are rustic and dotted with olive trees.

Layout: Ground floor: Entrance, twin bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower head, living/dining room (TV, Satellite, DVD, Wi-Fi). From the dining room there is direct access to the covered terrace, pool area and gardens, large covered terrace with 2 large tables for outside dining, kitchen (fridge, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher), utility room (fridge/ freezer, washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board). From the dining room there is access via a small sitting room to the area where there is another twin bedroom and 1 bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds. At the end of this area is the shared shower room. Both bedrooms have French doors leading to the garden.

First floor: Master double bedroom with a private balcony, dressing room, en-suite bathroom with double wash-hand basins, bath and separate shower; twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower head.

An excellent villa for a lovely family holiday.

Ca'n Mir is an excellent villa. It is all that it is described here and more.

We stayed for a week in May/June as a family group of 10 covering three generations including four grandchildren aged 18 mths to 7 years old.

The villa had something for everyone and it was enjoyed by all.

The facilities are extensive and well maintained and spotlessly clean.

It is well positioned for Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa and the surrounding beaches. However, it is so pleasant that staying "at home" and enjoying the pool and gardens is a great option.

The service offered by Select Family Villas was excellent from start to finish. Patricia and Yvonne were particularly helpful and pleasant. They responded quickly to all our requests and nothing was too much trouble.

The welcome pack was the best I have seen and very useful if you arrive late evening.

All in all it was a terrific week spent at a lovely villa run by very professional people, who add to your holiday experience.

I would be very pleased to stay there again and recommend it to friends.

A beautiful villa, good handy location for Port de Pollensa and Pollensa town. will return

A lovely traditional villa with idyllic walled gardens and good large pool. We stayed with our two teenagers and were joined by 5 teenaged friends for the second week. The two bedroom annex with bathroom made this very convenient. We hired bikes and our youngsters could cycle into town and to the beach. The villa master bedroom suite was very spacious and airy. The kitchen was well-equipped. Only slight downside was the barbecue hidden round the back of the house not very sociable position for the chef, in consequence we did not use it much.

Very pretty, comfortable and well equiped

We had a wonderful time at Ca'n Mir. The property was great, the pictures on the webside tell the truth. It is quiet, very pretty, and very well equiped. Short distanse to Port de Pollenca, several beaches and many tracking oportunitied nearby. Excellent!

Bags of character, stunning views and all the mod cons

C'an Mir is a beautiful home in a rustic Mallorcan style; quite rambling, full of antiques but luxurious too. We were a large party of four adults and 3 kids aged 2,3 and 6 but it was spacious enough for us to not feel on top of each other. The highlight of the house is the outside area with its sofa area, and 2 big sets of tables and chairs. There was always somewhere shady to sit. The garden is a real delight - full of beautiful trees and shrubs, massive and walled so it was safe for the kids to roam around. The mountain views are spectacular, particularly from the upstairs bedrooms. We ate in quite a lot and the kitchen is well-equipped, there are two fridges as well which is a bonus. The barbecue was a highlight too. Although it's not far from Puerto Pollensa, the setting feels really rural and we enjoyed taking the kids for walks spotting goats, horses and pigs in the surrounding pomegranate orchards and olive groves. The joggers in our group loved going for runs in such amazing scenery. A couple of us walked to Puerto Pollensa for dinner which is about 2.5 miles, but it's easy enough to catch a bus too - the bus stop is about 15 minutes walk away on the main road with regular buses to both the port and town of Pollensa. You can easily grab a taxi back from the harbour. We'd really recommend eating at La Llonja! Patricia who looks after the house is great - she is always on hand and so helpful. We were sorry to leave C'an Mir - it's a really special place.

Wonderful villa with beautiful grounds and garden

This villa is perfect for everyone. We stayed with two families with young children (3,3, 6 months and 8 weeks) and grandparents and it worked perfectly. The villa itself is very well equipped, all rooms are large and bathrooms are lovely and there are lots of them! It's nice and cool and has fans in the outdoor area to keep you cool. The kitchen and utility has everything you might need to get you started for your holidays. The welcome pack was also really useful.

The gardens and pool are stunning. Our children had a fantastic time exploring the garden and enjoyed running through plentiful paths and secret spots: it's very safe for them to explore. The pool is lovely and we spent half the holiday in there. Very comfy sunbeds and huge umbrellas helped keep us cool and allowed the babies to enjoy the poolside experience.

The villa location is great, it's a short drive to the main Pollensa and Port De Pollensa road and is easy to find.

Patricia was really helpful with booking and responded quickly to any questions. It was great to meet her on arrival.

We basically loved it and have booked for next year already.
