About the property

75 sqm cottage with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom

Set on lush farmland with views of rolling hills all around, Threpney Byre is a contemporary converted ‘roundhouse’ with tasteful furnishings and modern amenities to ensure a relaxing beak in the countryside.

The open-plan, downstairs living space is bright and boasts vaulted ceilings, a sitting area with a comfortable leather sofa and reclining chair and a digital LCD TV and DVD-player. The kitchen area sports courtyard views and all the equipment needed to cook up your meals, including an oven, hobs, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and the bathroom has a tub with a separate shower cubicle and a toilet.

On the first floor/mezzanine you’ll find a charming double bedroom with a beamed, sloping ceiling. There are also several cots available free of charge and guest beds can be arranged at a fee.

Threpney Byre has a private, south-facing courtyard with garden furniture and use of a barbeque, and there is also a shared, outdoor playground and indoor heated playroom.

This property is perfect for a family holiday. The environment is child friendly. The owner offers free animal feeding for the children (and adults) each week day morning (holding the rabbits and guinea pigs, feeding the pigs and sheeps, hand feeding the goats and chickens, and collecting the eggs). After the animal feeding he also provides a free pony ride for the younger children or a tractor ride for kids (and adults) of all ages.

A car is essential and there is free, private parking on the property. Pets are not welcome, smoking is allowed outside only and parties are not permitted.
