Beautiful house in a charming town

  • 5 of 5

My husband, two older children and I stayed at this beautiful home for 6 nights. Several weeks prior to arriving, the owner of the house contacted us and left us with specific instructions on how to get the key from her house keeper. She also was available to answer any questions we had. The housekeeper was a warm and lovely woman who showed us where to grocery shop and left us delicious jars of home made jam which was a fabulous kick off to our wonderful stay at this house. The pictures are very reflective of this home, the beautiful old building was transformed inside maintaining the stunning architecture with arches throughout the house and combining it with modern features. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom which look as if they were recently updated. The kitchen was well stocked and we actually did a lot of cooking throughout the week. The dining room was lovely. An added and appreciated feature is the kitchen had a dishwasher and the washing machine in the bathroom worked very well. This location was perfect to use as a homebase to make day trips to interesting places that surround the town. It is noteworthy that two of the three bedrooms are on the second floor and the third bedroom is on the third floor. We look forward to staying there again the next time we are in the area.

Amazing Character Home

  • 5 of 5

What a complete miracle and blessing to find this home. An amazing find - this character home has so much history- it's unlike anything you will find to rent. We were traveling with our two adult kids and we all had our own rooms - so much space to spread out we'd get lost inside! This is NOT a tourist town - this is a regular town filled with local French people who were a bit amused to see the American tourists. Also a complete lifestyle change after being in Paris for a week. Church chimes! Swallows! Narrow, cobblestone streets! Yvette was wonderful to work with and we somehow managed to understand each other! I'd love to return for a longer and visit even more places around Provence. We rented a car and day-tripped to Nice, Arles, the wine country, Marseille, Gordes, L'Isle sue la Sorgue and Avignon. Would go back in a minute!

Beautiful historic home

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples who stayed for 5 nights. This is an amazing home; we are so happy they choose to share it. The photos accurately display the home. Wifi worked well. Kitchen has everything needed to cook at home. Pelissanne is a wonderful base for Provence. We can't think of one reason that we would not highly recommend this rental to anyone. I can easily see renting this for a longer time and just having a vacation with a little sightseeing thrown in. Yvette met us and was very efficient and helpful when we arrived and left. Claudine, the owner, was responsive to our questions before arrival.

Beautiful home in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

This property is an extremely interesting, beautifully restored home in a small, 12th century walled town with pedestrian streets. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the village shops and winding pathways and had fabulous pastries, fruit and cheeses every morning for breakfast. We spent many hours enjoying the roof top terrace and the garden area adjacent to the kitchen.

The housekeeper, Yvette, is a treasure. She assisted us in so many ways and was a total delight. We arrived much later than expected due to a missed flight and her smiling face greeted four weary travelers, showed us where to park and how to navigate the town with our car. She asked if we were hungry ( we were famished) and even ordered our first dinner and wine for us and had it delivered!

We enjoyed this lovely home for a 10 day visit in Provence and found it to be very comfortable, clean and in a good location for easy day trips to the many towns in southern France. We were happy to have a quiet, lovely space to return to after long days of sight-seeing in the larger nearby towns. Our stay here enriched our visit to Provence and we highly recommended it!

The most intersting house we have seen

  • 5 of 5

We have been staying in holiday homes in France (mostly) for over 25 years and this one wins the prize for character easily. The description is accurate, the property well maintained and the customer service faultless. The house is tastefully decorated and has a lovely ambience. The town is quaint but not touristy and has all the necessities, bakeries, bars, supermarket etc. It is in easy driving distance of most of the great attractions of the western Provence. It is also close to the autoroute, not too far from Marseille Airport and easily accessible to the TGV stations at either Aix or Avignon. Could not fault it.

Beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

Lovely three week stay, despite the fact that one of our party was elderly and could not navigate the spiral stone staircase to the bedrooms or the steps to the living/dining rooms without a handrail and thus stayed at a nearby hotel. Friendly and extremely helpful housekeeper assisted us in finding the hotel and additional resources we needed. Highly recommend.
