The Landes department is known for its spectacular Atlantic coastline, the sandy beaches along the Cote d'Argent and its beautiful pine forests, and Sanguinet is the perfect town in which to base your Aquitaine adventures. Activities near the house include golf (the nearest scenic course is just a 10-minute drive away), water sports and fishing (at Lake Cazaux-Sanguinet), scuba diving, rafting or scenic hikes or horse- or cycle rides.
Don’t miss a visit to Europe’s tallest sand dune - the Dune of Pilat is just 18km away - while other highlights in the region include the surfer’s paradise of Mimizan, the port town of Cap Ferret and of course the city and wine route of Bordeaux, just 56km away.
