Newly renovated (in 2014) one-bedroom apartment in the centre of Cannes

Forville is a one-bedroom apartment located on a quiet street in the historic quarter of Le Suquet with accommodation for up to three guests. Less than 10 minutes walk to the Palais des Festivals and the beach, and just a few steps from the bars and restaurants of Le Suquet.

The apartment has been renovated to include all modern conveniences whilst maintaining original features such as high ceilings, traditional terracotta tiles and wooden shutters. The apartment is equipped with reversible air-conditioning and high-speed Internet access (Wi-Fi).

In the bedroom there is a king-size bed with a good quality, comfortable mattress, white bed linen and plush pillows. In the living room there is a comfortable large single sofa-bed.

The apartment is ideal for a couple or a small family of three. It’s also suitable for two friends or colleagues who do not want to share a room. Conveniently located, it's just a few steps from the daily market at Marché Forville and within easy walking distance of the shops and beaches. The train station is within walking distance (10 minutes), as is the bus station (3 minutes) with a frequent bus service to Nice airport. No car is required, but there is secure car parking nearby which offers weekly rates.

Ideal property for MIPIM week

My boss was very impressed by the property - especially by the little welcome pack that was given to him! He said that it was nicely refurbished and clean and the only downside was the broken window (?) by the front entrance but other than that it was perfect :)

This is the second time that we have used this apartment and we were very impressed by the price, organisation and quality of the apartment. Ruth was extremely contactable which made my life much easier trying to organise it all from England!

We are likely to use this apartment again next year! Thank you very much!

Fantastic apartment in Cannes old town

We have just returned from a great week in this apartment. Ruth has thought of everything. The apartment is like a home from home, fitted out to a very high standard. We particularly appreciated the air con, which is very quiet, and the comfy bed, we slept very well. The apartment is in a great location - very close to the market, loads of lovely restaurants, the beaches and the buses. It was perfect for us and we hope to return. Many thanks Ruth.

Lovely apartment in Cannes

This property is in the old town area of Cannes, and is well located for all amenities, it being a short walk to beaches, market, the town centre and the many restaurants.

The apartment, decorated to a high standard, is well furbished will all you need to self-cater, albeit that there are plenty of good restaurants close by. In addition to Ruth's recommendations, New York New York american diner was great - big portions at affordable prices. Caveau 30 was also good, especially if you like Art Deco.

The owner Ruth, was extremely helpful and guided us with her extensive knowledge of the area. We particularly enjoyed the jazz evening (free) in Mougins.

I chose a rental car for this trip, to give us the most flexibility, and you can park it in the Suquet-Forville car park, which is very close, for a set fee (which you can pay on arrival). We visited St Tropez and Monaco during our visit, which are easy to get to on a day trip, the fomer via a boat from St Maxime, and there was never a problem getting a car space. St Paul de Vence and Mougins are also gorgeous little villages.

It was hot during our visit with temperatures in the high 80's, albeit that this is unusual, but we weren't complaining! There were also fireworks in Cannes bay on each week during our stay, part of a annual competition.

Overall, the apartment helped make a very enjoyable break for us. Thank you Ruth!

Chic, clean & comfortable

This lovely apartment, entirely renovated with such good taste, is the perfect home away from home in the lively Cannes. It is very comfortable and has everything one might need while travelling. The kitchen is really well equipped which is convenient given that the incredibly colorful & tempting Marché Forville with all it's fresh produce is only a few meters away. And if one doesn't fancy cooking, there are tons of restaurants really close by, notably in the charming Suquet area that is just across the street from the entrance.

The shopping streets, the beach, the harbour are all within very short walking distance so the location of the apartment is ideal.

A true gem, can't recommend this place enough!

Smart, well located and modern

Located in the beautiful old quarter of Cannes, we loved staying in this newly refurbished 1-bed apartment. A few metres' walk from the picturesque harbour and numerous restaurants and cafes, we'd recommend this highly and look forward to staying here again soon.

Everything on your doorstep in Cannes!

The apartment is delightful. We wanted to be in the old part of Cannes and that is exactly where this apartment is located. So convenient for the beach (we had our grandson with us), the old port and the ferries to the islands. The market is literally a 3 minute walk away and we bought fresh food from there every day.

The owner is very attentive and will meet you at the apartment to make sure everything is to your liking. The beds are very comfortable and the sofa bed is easy to put up and down. Our grandson slept like a log on it!

Would definitely recommend.

From the Owner

I chose the apartment in rue Forville because it has a lot of character and overlooks a lovely courtyard. It's quiet, but in the centre of Cannes and in a perfect location for the Palais des Festivals, the beach and the shops. I also like the historic quarter of Le Suquet with its lively bars and restaurants.

Cannes, best known for the annual International Film Festival in May, has beautiful clean beaches, glamorous shopping areas, restaurants for all tastes and budgets, and a lively nightlife.

The apartment in rue Forville provides the perfect location if you are attending a conference at the Palais des Festivals, or if you are on holiday and want to explore the historic quarter of Le Suquet, with its many bars and restaurants, and relax on the beach.

The public Plage du Midi is located ten minutes walk from the apartment. Cannes also has several private beaches with restaurants and sun loungers. The wonderful market at Marché Forville is just a few steps from the apartment; perfect to buy fresh daily produce and regional specialities.

You can stroll along La Croisette, with stunning views of the bay and the Estérel mountains, see the luxury yachts and sailing boats in the Vieux Port, visit the Musée de la Castre at the top of Le Suquet with great views over Cannes, or take the ferry from the nearby port to the Îles de Lérins to explore the 17th-century Fort Royal or the Abbaye de Lérins.
