A fine spacious residence of understated elegance - an impressively proportioned apartment for six, beautifully presented in classic style and offering contemporary appeal with period touches plus a truly enviable dual aspect covered terrace/loggia in the charming and characterful Cannaregio district.
Affording three couples privacy and room to ‘spread out’, the stylish and thoughtfully decorated accommodation is on the second floor served by lift, and has air-conditioning, WiFi internet connection and attractive wooden parquet floors in most rooms.
The main sitting/dining room (dramatically painted a bold and passionate shade of red) remains light and airy courtesy of its many windows and features interesting artwork, elegantly upholstered seating, a feature fireplace (for decorative purposes only) and two full length glazed doors leading out onto the large terrace/loggia.
A perfect spot for soaking up the atmosphere or chilling out with an ‘aperitivo before heading out to dinner, this splendid extra ‘room outdoors’ overlooks the private courtyard garden/spa area of the well-regarded neighbouring Giorgione Hotel on one side (with a view of the bell tower and onion dome of the church of Santi Apostoli against the sky in the distance) and the thriving little thoroughfare named the ‘Rio Tera Dei Franceschi’ with its small cinema on the other.
To the rear of the apartment and near the main entrance hall is the modern well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room featuring sleek white units, matt black worktops and splash back and a glass-topped table with matching perspex chairs - handy for keeping your designated chef company and for grabbing ‘prima colazioneat the start of the day.
There are three delightful double bedrooms, each with a double bed which can be made into twins for added versatility (simply ask when booking) - an extremely elegant master bedroom of generous proportions, beautifully furnished with period pieces and which has its own sitting area and smart tiled bathroom in neutral tones with bathtub and shower over, an equally lovely and roomy second (also with a sitting area of its own) and a third, which although smaller, has the added benefit of a modern en-suite bathroom with shower plus direct access onto a small internal terrace. A third modern bathroom with shower completes the accommodation.
An exciting new discovery in a fabulous area, providing ideal accommodation for a larger gathering and particularly well-placed for exploring the many delights and attractions of the Cannaregio district.
What a beautiful place to stay and so convenient. We stayed for 3 nights in July. Views on Venice arranged a water taxi to pick us up at the airport and Katerina was waiting when we arrived at the nearest dock just steps from Ca' Bembo. She took us in, showed us around, and answered all our questions. She even arranged another water taxi to get us to the cruise port on Saturday. She was a great help to get us acclimated to the area. There is a grocery store right next door, and a restaurant just outside the front door. It was very quiet at night though. We were very close to a Vaporetta stop and found it easy to get around the city. It was a teriffic experience.
Très bel appartement dans quartier pittoresque et calme avec commerces alimentaires de proximité . Appartement très spacieux très propre avec grande terrasse ou nous avons pris nos repas .
Accueil chaleureux et efficace de Daniela, Martha ,Valentina,
The apartment was exactly as expected from the description and photos on the website. Spacious with high ceilings and traditional furniturein the bed and living areas while the bathrooms and the kitchen have been modernised. The location was perfect for us, a few minutes walk from two vaporetto stops and the Allilaguna blue line. There is a small supermarket, a deli, bar, wine shop and fruit stall in the immediate area and although the apartment is only a few minutes walk from Strada Nouva the immediate area is fairly quiet.
I would happily recommend this apartment to anyone.
This apartment in Venice was the highlight of our 4 city, 12 night trip. we loved the more quiet location and the great coffee/wine bar by the front door. also loved the fantastic grocery store next door. some of our meals were just prosciutto, cheese and pasta from the grocery store on the gorgeous shaded patio. the apartment is so spacious with a beautiful central hallway and historic furnishings. the bathrooms/kitchen very modern and lovely. we loved the short walk to the water to the water bus stop for the island of Burano - a highlight of our trip.
View on Venice which rented us the apartment helped us book a one hour water taxi with guide around Venice.
Really loved this apartment and would come back next time.
We were a family of six adults on holiday in Venice for a week. We wanted a property which had plenty of space, and an outdoor area, such as a garden or a terrace, so we could enjoy the good Italian weather in May. When planning our holiday, we looked at a lot of properties. Although there were many cheaper than Ca' Bembo, they all had disadvantages: too small, no garden or terrace, boring décor, etc. We thought that Ca' Bembo had the advantages we were looking for. We weren't disappointed. The apartment is huge, classy, well-decorated, clean, with excellent modern bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, and the terrace was perfect for relaxing and dining. The Fondamente Nove water bus stop for the railway station and airport is only ten minutes walk away, through wide, quiet streets. There is a supermarket next door, and cheap wine shops and vegetable stalls are nearby. If you don't know Venice, we recommend using a map or your iPhone to work out the quieter routes to see the sights. Some of the main tourists routes are very crowded and not pleasant. For example, to get to the Rialto bridge area from the property, it is much quicker and pleasanter to take the nearby Traghetto across the Grand Canal and walk to the bridge along that side of the canal. The property has Wi-Fi, which is an essential nowadays when you are a tourist wanting to find information quickly. Our only minor criticism would be that the description of the apartment didn't say that it had a DVD player. It does have one. That is useful if you aren't fluent in Italian (!), as the TV has only Italian channels.
We had a wonderful time in this spacious and well kept apartment. Lots of windows so it's very bright and the terrace is a huge plus. The location is perfect since there is easy access to both the Grand Canal vaporetto stops as well as Fondamente Nove for heading over to Murano and other islands in the north lagoon. One of the boilers had a problem, but the Views on Venice staff got right on it and it was fixed the same day. I highly recommend Ca' Bembo and Views on Venice in general. We've stayed in VoV apartments several times and have never been disappointed.
