4 Bedroom All En-Suite With Private Pool - Can be heated out of high season

Villa Atalaya is set in 10,000 metres of lush, natural gardens with views over rolling hills and surrounding vineyards which are also visible from the swimming pool.

The word Atalaya means watchtower - centuries ago the location of Villa Atalaya with its far-reaching views would have been the perfect lookout for invading armies - today you'll smell the lavender and jasmine, hear crickets and splashes from the pool, all with no fear of invasion!

New Provençal style kitchen with Lacanche stove with 2 ovens/5 gas rings, new fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and electric kettle.

View onto dining terrace, across garden to countryside.

New washing machine and tumble dryer Iron and Ironing Board

Open fireplace, sofas and coffee table, dining table and chairs for 8, (strong and consistent) wireless broadband.

White bed linens and towels (bathroom and pool) included.

The linen is changed weekly, but for a fee -- an additional cleaning service can be provided.

Please note that the driveway to the Villa is steep and there are steps in the garden. The pool is close to the house, but children should be supervised at all times.

The main villa is on one level and there are no internal stairs.

Wheelchairs would need assistance leaving the house.

There are 2 independent studios both with kitchenettes and en-suite. These can be hired at a supplement and are not included in the base price.

The private swimming pool is bordered with wooden loungers and other furniture. Around the pool and in the garden, there are several seating areas suitable for 2 to 12 people.

The pool can be heated outside of high season. This must be asked for in advance,

The garden was professionally planted with regional plants to give Mediterranean colour and aroma. It is regularly maintained and automatically watered.

Moroccan style Garden House

This area is raised above the pool level and features a boules pitch, an additional dining area, BBQ, basic outdoor kitchen, and cushioned benches for relaxing - the perfect place to watch the sunset or play boules.

The village of Le Plan-de-la-Tour has 2 mini markets which open daily including Sunday, 4 boulangeries, a world class butcher, pizzeria, creperie, cafe and 5 good restaurants including 3 in a pedestrianized area which are ideal for families with small children. There is a newsagent with daily English papers and a multi-stocked shop which literally sells everything from sweets to knitting wool!

A large Carrefour Supermarket is 10 mins drive in Ste Maxime. There is a weekly farmers market with fresh locale produce, cheese, flowers and a night market every Friday during the summer months.

Throughout the year there are traditional fetes and various music concerts on the town square.

Days pass in the private pool, cooking outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and serenity; evenings sipping an aperitif by the boules pitch before dinner on the covered terrace. The small town of Le Plan-de-la-Tour is 5 mins away and has all you need on a daily basis including bars and restaurants if you don't feel like cooking and a weekly market of local produce if you do.

15 mins away is the seaside town of Ste. Maxime with a large supermarket, a sandy public beach and the marina with waterside restaurants. A little further down the coast is the glamour and glitz of St. Tropez, with beaches, restaurants and nightclubs.

Beautiful villa set in a lovely secluded location.

After the initial difficulty in locating the villa (asked a local resident where it was) we all had a lovely stay there. It was spacious and clean. Very nice to each have our own en suite facilities. Especially liked the separate bbq area away from the main house. The pool was perfect for everyone and as it was fenced off it was really safe for the children

All in all a fabulous place to stay especially if one wants peace and relaxation! As mentioned earlier the only problem (and it really was minuscule) is that the name of the villa was not apparent or was missing.

Perfect Villa Perfect setting

We stayed at Villa Atalaya in the last week in june and what a beautiful place it is.The pictures do not do it justice.The four bedrooms are all large with air conditioning in the Master bedroom,and all have high quality bedding with towels from The White Company.The living area is vast with a large kitchen which opens onto the Terrace where we spent every evening dining the night away.The vista from the Terrace is amazing and the view overlooks the bay of St Maxime and the surrounding countryside.The outside space is also all you could want,with the large swimming Pool and high quality sun beds being the main focus.The sun room and Boules court also got well used in the early evening as well as the large bbq.The Villa is close to a Vinyard which has wine tasting where you can purchase Rose at 8 euros a bottle.The Rose Exception retails at 20 Euros a bottle in the Restaurants of La Plan de la Tour.There is also a fantastic Pizza restaurant only half a mile away.We have stayed in Villas all over the south of France for many years and this rates as the best.It has everything you could want for a relaxing week in the sun.Thank you Pip and Mark.

Hochwertiges Quartier in guter Lage

- großzügiges Haus mit vollständiger und qualitativ hochwertiger Ausstattung (Wohnbereich, Schlafzimmer/Betten. Bäder/Handtücher, Küche)

- weitläufiger, gut gestalteter Außenbereich mit herrlichem Panoramablick, schönem Pool, Liegen/Polstern, Tischtennis, Boule und Außengrill

- Plan de la Tour ist 5min. per Auto entfernt und bietet diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und nette Restaurants

- diverse schöne Ausflugsziele an der Küste und im Hinterland sind in 30-60 min per Auto erreichbar (u.a. St. Tropez & Strände, Grasse, St. Paul de Vence, Nizza, Gorge du Verdon)

- einziger Minuspunkt im Sep 16 war der durchgängige Baulärm von Mo-Sa durch den Neubau einer Villa auf dem angrenzenden Grundstück

Einfach Super!

Das große Grundstück mit seiner durchdachten Gestaltung bietet viele Möglichkeiten, die wir auch nutzen konnten. Ob Frühstück unter dem vorgezogenem Dach mit Blick über die Hügel der Provence, Lunch am Pool oder Barbecue am separaten Barbecuehaus mit Lounge.

Das gesamte Haus macht einen sehr guten Eindruck inklusive ausreichender Ausstattung. Vollendet wurde das Ganze durch den Service von Pip und Henk, die bei kleinen Schwierigkeiten immer zur Stelle waren. Danke!

Auch der Buchungsprozess war sehr professionell, auch wenn ich das Geld nur mit Bauchschmerzen nach UK geschickt habe.

Einziger Maluspunkt: wer deutschsprachiges Fernsehen erwartet, wird trotz Satellitenfernseher enttäuscht. Falscher Satellit. Uns hat es nicht gestört.
