Vary comfortable, all the utilities were of a high standard and top of the range.

Our host very friendly, and always available if we needed any help.

We highly recommend this holiday Accommodation.

Charming and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

Our trip started off rocky, being delayed by a whole 24 hours due to a blizzard, and then waking up to a flat tire on our car rental. Jo was so very helpful, helping inflate our tire and finding us a shop with a new tire for us! This was so above and beyond our expectations, and really helped get our trip back on track. The cottage was absolutely charming, all of the directions were perfectly understandable. The water was hot and plentiful. The bed was a little firm for me, but perfect for my spouse! Handy maps and tourist info.

Owner's Response: Always delighted to welcome our American friends - the delayed flight and flat tyre was not the ideal start but then things could only get better! We hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit to the UK and your onward destinations.

Beautiful location . Lovely little cottage type annex .

Joanna was very helpful and gladly took our 2 year old daughter to see the newly born lambs .

Owner's Response: Pleased you found the property comfortable even with the addition of a travel cot. Delighted to show your daughter my lambs - pity the ewes shouting for their evening feed was just a little too much for her!!!!

Very friendly owner, beautiful area, high quality accommodation.

The annexe is finished to a very high standard, and has everything you could want for a weekend away. You probably do need a car as it's a little out of the way, but we found taxi companies who could take you to/from the racecourse or Gloucester/Cheltenham stations for less than £20.

Jo was a great host and made us feel very welcome. It was nice to see the sheep out of the windows😁?.

Anyone doing research should not confuse Blacksmith lane, The Leigh with Blacksmith Lane, Churchdown, as I did. They are both in Gloucester and both about 5 miles from racecourse.

Would definitely stay again. Couldn't fault it.

Exactly as the picture shows .

  • 5 of 5

We found everything was exactly as the site showed which so often isn’t the case. We loved our three days there and Joanne was very helpful if we needed her but otherwise we had complete privacy. Hot towel rails, great shower, cosy and warm. Comfy bed well fitted out unit. Highly recommend

We stayed for 3 nights in this little wooden tardis! Surprised by how roomy it was inside and everything contained within is to a very high standard. Great position for visiting Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewksbury. Would definitely recommend.
