About this property

Relax in our comfortable family home in the heart of the Normandy countryside. Enjoy our large tranquil garden including fruit trees, BBQ, patio, sun loungers and free-range chickens and ducks.

The family room consists of

1 additional child's bed is available

Two guest bedrooms share the luxurious shower room and guest lounge including picnic table, tea and coffee making facilities, sofas, maps, board games, cards and children’s toys. Guests have a private entrance directly to the guest area, perfect if you are coming back late at night. Guests are welcome to eat picnics in the guest lounge or outside on the patio.

Organic evening meals
We offer home cooked organic evening meals with 18€, 24€ and 30€ menus. The poultry, fruit and vegetables come straight from the garden. The menu includes many gluten free, dairy free vegetarian and vegan options. We all sit down together for the meal so it is a great time to socialise. We speak French and English. Ask us to email you the English menu.

Organic Breakfast
Our organic breakfast includes home made organic bread, yoghurt, jams. Regular loaves include wholemeal spelt bread, wholemeal wheat bread and a lighter mixed grain bread the French call “pain au cereal”. Breakfast is 7€ per person.

Children
We provide indoor and outdoor children’s toys. Children may play in the large garden, visit the animals and collect the eggs. There is a large box full of outdoor toys including stilts, badminton and archery. You can borrow our inflatables for your trips to the beach.

Vraiment top

Un petit havre de paix pour nos vacances. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre, la chambre, l’an salle de bain, le jardin, tout! Notre hôte était convivial, attentif et surtout très patient avec notre fille de 4 ans. Merci Peter

Trop bien accueillis! La chambre était au top! Et la table d'hôtes est excellente avec des produits bio faits maison à volonté! Peter et Katy sont adorables et je les félicite pour leur projet!

About the host

Hosted by Peter HAMLETT

Peter and Katy Hamlett. We grow our own food, free range and organically. We have planted a forest garden you can enjoy with over 400 trees, many edible. We teach Tai Chi, Qigong, massage and meditation in French in the local community.

We both play piano and Peter plays guitar and drums. The house is decorated in our paintings and photography (available to buy!).

We enjoy meeting travellers and have spent many a happy evening eating together. We love hearing your stories and sharing ours.

Why they chose this property

We love our beautiful stone house and have lovingly renovated to the highest standards. The large grounds have enable us to plant an edible forest garden and we can now live sustainable, buying very little. We grow our own meat, poultry eggs and vegetables as well as medicine and wood for fuel.

We love the peace and quiet of the countryside. The house is full with Peter's artistic flair - guests love the bathroom.

What makes this property unique

Our calm, tranquil corner of Normandy is perfect to relax and unwind and get back in touch with nature. La Nesliere Organic Bed and Breakfast is also close to the Mont St Michel, sandy beaches great for swimming, beautiful bays and tourist attractions while being off the beaten track deep in the heart of the normandy countryside.
