George Bernard Shaw

Scenes from The Force Awaken were shot at Skellig Michael

Perfect Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

Murreagh is a beautiful small village with welcoming people and many places to adventure to. The sea is so close and is a large beach with so much space to walk, explore, and swim. Yes, we swam! Dingle is just 10 minutes away and provided all we needed in terms of restaurants and entertainment. BEST hidden secret was to walk to Tigh TP, the pub and keep on going and you end up with the most remarkable foot path that takes you to a sunset view of Three Sisters. It was an amazing discovery and I appreciated the great views and pathway that led to a lookout fort. Tight TP was a great place for dinner and good music.

As an American traveler we were surprised by the very narrow roads that were basically one lane but allowed for two cars. The area beyond Dingle is especially like this so be prepared to learn many things about navigation and exploring if you haven't driven overseas before as we had not.

We managed to drive Slea Head and Connor Pass, visit Inch Beach a few times, stay a night in Kilarney to do a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry (Paddy Wagon Tours), did the Dingle Boat Tour (my favorite!), and hear lots of great music, and eat amazing seafood.

The house had everything we needed to really live there for a few weeks. We cooked several nights and most of our meals here and found the kitchen well stocked. The house was clean, beds and comfortable, and Peter was helpful when we had a small issue with some plumbing. He took care of it right away and the local plumber was great to get to know and made a point to check on us a few times. Peter communicated with us very quickly about any questions we had about the house.

The people of the village are so welcoming. We'll be back, for sure!

Perfect location, beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to hike a bit around the Dingle peninsula and this house was the perfect home base. It was extremely clean and comfortable- we hope to book this property again in the future.

Great location. Lovely property

  • 5 of 5

This house is set in a quiet location, within walking distance of a couple of great beaches. It's ideally situated for exploring some of the best parts of the Penisula, (which is stunning), whilst still being able to access the town of Dingle within a few minutes by car. The pictures in the listing don't do the house justice. It's very spacious with copious storage space, and is decorated and maintained to a very high standard. We were very lucky with the weather, with sunshine for most of our two weeks, but when the weather did keep us in we were very comfortable. The owner was very helpful, and gave us lots of useful information about the area over the phone before we arrived. If we return to this part of Ireland, I wouldn't hesitate to book the same property again.

Lovely House in a Great Location

We had a terrific week West of Dingle. The house is immaculate and perfect for a Holiday in the wilds of West Kerry.

A Hidden Idyll

  • 5 of 5

Located in the small village of Murreagh. Step out of this very, very comfortable house and you are a stone's throw from a long, beautiful, sandy beach with shallow warm waters and wonderful views. Fifteen minute walk to 'TPs' - a pub with wondeful food, music and a warm welcome.

Dingle is also fifteen minutes away (by car) and has facilities and attractions to keep all happy.

I suppose I should really keep quiet and keep this idyll all to myself but, honestly, for a perfect Irish holiday you will find no better.
