The apartments are located in a quiet location and are accessed via a remote controlled electric wrought iron gate accessed from Low Petergate, which is one of the most picturesque medieval streets in York.The entrance leads into a medieval half timbered courtyard with floodlit fountain. Both apartments have been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard with quality and stylish modern furnishings. The kitchen has all of the facilities and equipment that you would expect to find in your own home .Tea, coffee, & sugar are provided as well as a welcome pack which will include continental breakfast for your first morning’s stay.The lounge has two sofas – one of which is a sofa bed.There is a flat screen TV with blue ray DVD player and a selection of DVD’s for your enjoyment. You can listen to the radio or play your own music selection from your iPod on the music system provided. There is FREE wi-fi available during your stay.The dining table can comfortably seat 4 adults.The bedroom has a King size bed and is furnished with high quality furniture and soft furnishings.There are fluffy bathrobes for your use during your stay and a hair dryer is provided.The Bathroom is fully tiled with beautiful limestone and there is a bath with power shower above. A heated towel rail and towel shelf provide soft hotel quality towels for your use. Complimentary toiletries are provided.The luxurious apartments are perfect for romantic breaks or relaxing holidays .

Apartment No2 is on the ground floor having recently been acquired Apartment No 4 is on the first floor. Both have wonderful views of the Minster, the Minster Song School and 13th Century Holy Trinity Church. The layout of the apartments is similar and they are furnished to the same high standard.

4 Talbot Court is a spacious and luxurious first floor, one bedroom apartment with gardens overlooking York Minster, the Minster Song School and Holy Trinity Church. Access to the apartment is directly through electronically controlled wrought iron gates. Outside the gates is one of the most picturesque medieval streets in York. The entrance leads into a medieval half-timbered courtyard with floodlit stone sculpture. We have decorated and furnished the apartment to an exceptionally high standard with quality and stylish modern furnishings. The kitchen has all of the facilities and equipment that you would expect to find in your own home. The apartment is beautifully decorated in an extremely unique way. Nothing is too much for our hosts and all the little toouches from fizz, to croissants to cakes made my stay in York for my 25th birthday extremely special. Would gladly recommend to friends and definately won't stay in a hotel again !!

Welcoming cosy apartment in the centre of York

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cosy apartment Stephen and Christine made us feel so welcome on arrival and there thoughtfulness in making this a home from home place to stay with all the special touches ie wine cakes and chocolate etc, we have stayed in many self catering cottages but this is certainly at the top of our list.

Perfect location lovely hosts!

Wonderfuy situated apt right in center of town yet quiet and peaceful, looking out over green church courtyard. Hosts left us wonderful croissants tea and coffee for our first morning. Greatly appreciated since we has just flown in. Couldnt be a more pleasant stay. Weather coorperated as well. York is a lovely city!

Great hosts. Amazing location. Super comfortable accommodations.

I don't write many reviews, but I so thoroughly enjoyed myself that this was a must do.

Stephen & Christine's apartments are great getaways right in the middle of the action in York's ancient walled city. At the same time they are very quiet and secluded. Inside the apartment everything is calm and quiet, with ability to listen to the bells from the minster, and views of the quiet private garden. But cross the courtyard and exit the secure gate and you are right in the old part of town on Low Petergate, and just steps from all the other sites. Full scores for location.

The apartment itself is very cozy, with comfortable furnishings, and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean, fully functional, and as the listing states, very modern. The care the Stephen & Christine take with the property is very evident, without imposing with "your in my house artifacts".

As hosts, Stephen and Christine made sure the apartment was fully prepped, and even took time to acquire brochures and guides specific to my interests which was very thoughtful! They responded to enquiries quickly and clearly, and also reached out to make sure that all was well without being obtrusive at all.

I will not hesitate to stay with Stephen & Christine again, and heartily recommend their properties to others.

Perfect retreat in York

My husband and I spent a weekend with our adult daughter in 4 Talbot Court and could not have had a better experience. The apartment is utterly central yet secluded, with lovely views to the choir school and the Minster. Stephen met us on arrival and was very welcoming. The apartment is a real home from home - in fact better than home as we do not have a dish-washer at home! The kitchen has all the necessary equipment, everywhere was spotlessly clean and there were so many extra touches that made our stay special, from macaroons to fluffy dressing gowns. We highly recommend the apartment and hope to return.

Clean and located within city walls

Clean, quiet, and good water pressure all things were amply provided. Nice to enjoy the peace with the windows open with just the sounds of the doves and the laughing children if they are out for recess. Then walk out the front courtyard and the town is bustling with tourists but they leave by 6 PM and it's just you and the locals to enjoy pubs and restaurants. Short walk (five to fifteen min,) to everything in town. Could not ask for a better location.

Best UK rental experience ever

Owners Stephen and Christine have created a superbly comfortable flat with every convenience a traveller could want. The generous continental breakfast provided was especially welcome after a trans-Atlantic flight. And they made it clear that any time I needed to contact them for any reason they would be available. The location right in the heart of York could not be better for exploring all the history that the city offers. Numerous restaurants are within minutes, as are a wide variety of high-end shops. Five stars is not enough for this rental!

We holidayed in Talbot Court ourselves in 2011 and enjoyed our stay so much so that when the opportunity arose we bought Number 4 so we could offer the same wonderful experience to others. In 2014, we took the opportunity to acquire Number 2 which was the actual apartment we stayed in during 2011.

Talbot Court lies within a quiet medieval half timbered courtyard located within the heart of York city centre. It has a beautiful private communal garden area with outstanding views of York Minster, the Minster Choir school and of Holy Trinity Church. A truly unique location!
