Overview

About the property

4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom Family Home Close To The Affluent Hampsted Village

Old and new

This huge, four bedroom, four bathroom family home is as impressive as it is unique. A double fronted Victorian mansion with gothic windows, it oozes period grandeur and old-world opulence, but a secret lies beneath its traditional exterior. Leave the grand stuccoed drawing room upstairs and saunter down the spiral staircase, where you’ll be plunged into a modern family paradise, complete with super sleek kitchen, conservatory and play area. And there’s plenty of play to be had in the surrounding area of Hampstead, too. Take the kids to the nearby Heath, or into Hampstead Village for a meal, then return home for a family movie in Lyndhurst Road’s splendid Victorian quarters.

Opposites attract

Your hosts are a young family with three children, and together they love making the most of their magnificent home. Mum and dad can relax in the massive garden’s sun loungers while the kids play in the sandpit, or on the playroom’s very own indoor swing.

Poles apart

When you first step onto Lyndhurst Road's parquet flooring, you’ll be so wowed you won’t know where to start. Let your tummy lead you to the kitchen, where black marble tops glint in the beams from the spotlights, and up scale chrome appliances reign. An adjacent sitting room means mum and dad can rustle up dinner while the kids entertain themselves.

Take the stunning spiral staircase back upstairs and ogle the impossibly pretty teal-blue drawing room, with its super high ceilings, patio-view balcony and a bay window. When early evening comes round, put the kids to bed in the blue bunk room, the petite single room, or the crimson double room, complete with bookcases and Aztec-style rug. When darkness finally falls, retire to the breathtaking master bedroom, where lilac walls and Greco-Roman stucco soar above the grand bedstead, or take a power shower in the hotel-standard en suite.

About Owner / Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose

Different strokes

Hampstead is as varied as Lyndhurst Road itself, with ample attractions for old and young alike. Catch a show at the Everyman theatre, followed by dessert at the Jamie Oliver’s old local, the Hollybush, or admire the space age Isokon building. The bustle of central London, meanwhile, is just 16 minutes.

What makes this house unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
