Beautiful location and perfect getaway spot
The cottage is situated in a beautiful location, right next to the private lake in a serene environment. It's the perfect getaway. When we arrived we were not aware that the beds would not be made and that we were expected to do the laundry and cleaning, despite having paid a cleaning fee and service charge, which I found quite unacceptable. Our last morning was spent washing the bedding and towels we had used, "as instructed" in the welcome pack. We were not informed of this before arriving nor is it stated on the advert. Relying on guests to clean after themselves results on a relatively unclean place, which is a real shame. And actually quite irresponsible especially during covid. Having said that, we did love our stay in the cottage. It is very sweet, peaceful and idyllic. If it was properly serviced as a short term rental it would have been perfect, but we didn't go on holiday to a serene location to then have to pay for cleaning but do it ourself. I would recommend to anyone to stay, it's lovely, I would just recommend bringing your own bedding and towels.

Gorgeous setting; lovely hostess
Idyllic setting for a cabin. Rindy was very welcoming and even invited us to join them on the Lake in their pontoon 😊 a real treat! We also canoed round the lake; used the fire pit and relaxed on the porch spotting all the wildlife....we loved the chipmunks 😀 The cabin's a great base to visit the surrounding towns and we even drove as far as Vermont. There is so much to see and do. The cabin was tidy and supplied bedding for us to make the bed and towels for kitchen and bathroom. We would definitely recommend staying here in this tranquil setting.
