In a great location, just behind the square of Santo Spirito, a totally private apartment with free wifi, air-conditioning, heating, fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom and an unforgettable atmosphere is waiting for you!

Easily reachable with a pleasant 10-minute walk from the SMN station or by bus (bus stop 200 m from the apartment) the apartment is located in the heart of the Florentine Oltrarno where you will live a wonderful experience in one of the most beautiful and lively districts of Florence.
Nearby there are many shops, bars and restaurants where you can relax and spend some pleasant time to enjoy good food & wine.
The nearest bar is only 80 meters away; bakery, fruit and vegetables and butcher's are around the corner; Carrefour and Conad can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.

The car - not necessary - can be left in a paid parking lot about 300 m from the apartment.

The apartment is on the 1st floor (1 flight of 20 steps) of a typical florentine building and consists of MASTER BEDROOM with king size bed, DINING ROOM with a matrimonial sofa bed (140cmx190cm), KITCHENETTE and BATHROOM with extra large shower.
It is also extremely quiet and peaceful because all the windows facing the cortyard.

A child's chair and a cot with orthopedic mattress are available on request free of charge.

Great place to stay

Compact apartment well situated and comfortable in an historic area. Windows open onto area enclosed by buildings. So you don’t get a street view and you do hear noise from surrounding apartments, but we didn’t find this excessive. Very convenient, lovely host with helpful recommendations. Apartment adequately equipped .

Great location

This apartment is perfectly located for exploring Florence. Close to the main attractions yet in a quiet residential street. The apartment is small but fine for a couple. It has a good sized bedroom with plenty of storage, a shower room and a small room with TV, dining table and futon next to a small but functional kitchen. It has air con in the bedroom although it was still quite warm as we visited during an unusually hot few days. Francesco was very welcoming and the apartment owners were able to be flexible with our checking out time to accommodate our luggage until our flight. I would happily book this apartment again.

Lovely apartment in great location

Communication with the extremely friendly Chiara and Francesco was great in advance of and during our stay. After taking a shuttle bus from the airport to the railway station we had a relatively straightforward walk of about 20 minutes (with luggage) to the apartment, where Francesco met us to show us around. It has a modern interior on the first floor of an older building, which is located on a quiet but well lit side street less than ten minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio and other bridges. Upon entry you first see the large bedroom, with a comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobe space. A corridor leads through to the small bathroom, which has a large shower and chic coloured glass sink. The compact dining area and kitchen are next, with everything designed to make best use of the small space. Everything in the apartment was clean and in working condition. A wifi modem provided internet access but for the best signal you need to stay close by. Within a short walk there are small supermarkets and other interesting shops as well as a range of lovely restaurants that are much better value than on the other touristy side of the river. Details are included within the very helpful folder left by our hosts at the apartment. Also close by are the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens and an antique market held on Sundays. All the major sights of Florence are easily reached on the other side of the river but we were very happy to be able to return to the peace and calm of our accommodation each evening. We would unreservedly recommend the apartment as a comfortable and convenient but quiet base for a visit to the magnificent city of Florence.

Perfect Host

A perfect stay in Santo Spirito. The apartment was immaculate, and perfect for our stay. Place is in a great location of Santo Spirito, away from the main tourist attrcations and very close to chic resaturants and bars, we loved the area. Charia is a quintessential host, so helpful and accomodating. We all would unquestionably return. 5 stars

Nicest, most welcoming neighbourhood of Florence

Chiara's apartment is a perfectly comfortable, functional place to stay while visiting Florence. The flat felt new, was clean and matched the description provided by Chiara. All of our dealings with the owner were fast and friendly. We stayed for one week and I have to say that the Oltrarno quarter (on the other side of the river) where the apartment is located was in many ways our favourite part of Florence. You could actually spend your entire stay just roaming the streets and squares of this neighbourhood and have a wonderful vacation without ever going to piazza del Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, gli Uffizi, etc etc, although no one would ever do that! The cafes, bars, and shops in this part of town are more local and down to earth compared to the more famous part of the Historic Center, but Oltrarno boasts the Santo Spirito, Santa Maria del Carmine, Santa Felicita, and San Miniato churches along with Palazzo Pitti and Piazzale Michelangelo. For a great Bistecca alla Fiorentina try the very local and cosy l' Brindellone trattoria (you'll need a reservation). If the weather is good it is also worth strolling in the neighbourhood's lovely, historic gardens. One thing I found curious is that in many older guide books (especially Italian ones) this neighbourhood was always described as being a working class and artisan part of town. Well, many of the artisans are still around, but it's hard to imagine a working class neighbourhood with so many monumental Renaissance palaces!!! I highly recommend the apartment and as I hope I've made obvious, the wonderful Oltrarno neighbourhood. Dennis and Maria
