Whether you are visiting Oslo for business or pleasure, Maries vei is a haven of tranquillity and beautiful nature just a few minutes west of the city center. Five minutes walk to the shops and direct bus to city center. Next to the flat lies a little path which brings you to the waters edge and leads you along coves and forests with stunning views. In half an hours walk you reach the Hennie Onstad Art center with its well known restaurant, and in the other direction a 15 min walk away is Strand restaurant, a well known and popular cafe and restaurant with gourmet chefs.

The Centra shopping center with its gourmet super market, chemist, and a variety of lovely small shops is just a five minute walk away. This is also where you catch the bus into or out of town. The airport bus from Torp stops here and you can catch a bus from here to the Gardemoen airport express train. ( Hovik train station also lies here but is currently being renovated and is not open this year.)

There are 100 apartments in the four story complex with 24000 sq meter park land, including several children's play areas. In winter you can ski on the fjord and in the summer wander down to the beach for a morning swim before breakfast.

The flat is 67 square meters, light and bright, with double doors leading on to a 7m by 2m terrace where there is a sofa, chairs and table. When its warm this part of the flat becomes an extension of the living room and catches the first rays of sun in the morning and mid day.

There are two bedrooms, one which can serve as an office, or the sofa bed can be a double bed for guests.

There is a separate laundry area for the washer and dryer and it also has its own WC, plans are to make this room into a second bathroom.

The bathroom is large, and has underfloor heating,

The flat is brand new and very well insulated, and efficiently heated so is warm at all times of year. There is also a gas fire with easy to use remote control in the living area. And on the terrace there is a wall mounted heater so you can use the outside area even on chilly nights.

There are brushed oak floors through out the flat.

In the summer we live in a Spanish fishing village, and in the winter in the Pyrenees mountains. Outstanding "Homeaway" in Oslo Area

Superb apartment in an attractive complex in a very nice area. Lise, the owner was very easy to work with, and Michelle, the owner's local representative, was very helpful and ensured a pleasant stay. Convenient to local bus transportation if you're travelling without a car; secured underground parking if you're driving. Would definitely recommend staying here if coming to Oslo area, which we will should we return to Oslo.

Excellent Flat near Oslo

The apartment was excellent. My family stayed at the apartment in May 2014 and we were pleased that everything was as advertised. The owner’s house keeper Michelle met us at the front of the complex and gave us a tour including showing us how to use all of the appliances. The bus stop is about a 10-12 minute walk and the bus takes you to multiple stops within the center of Oslo. The apartment had extra amenities including a small carrying cart which was useful when transporting groceries from the local store. The grocery store, pharmacy, and small vegetable store are next to the bus stop so you have everything you need nearby. Michelle was always accessible via email, text or phone and we had no problems during our stay. We would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Oslo on holiday or for business purposes. We also recommend purchasing the "Oslo Card" which works for the bus to/from the apartment as well as within the city itself.

We fell in love with this flat because its so near Oslo We don't need to have a car, and can walk to every thing we need while enjoying the stunning walks and lovely little coves and beaches. This is a great place to jog from, hire a Kayak or simply contemplate the beautiful views of the fjord.

In beautiful natural location, on the water, yet only 10 minutes drive from Oslo city center. 5 -10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) to bus stop and to a small shopping area, with renowned delicatessen super market, clothes shops, florist, chemist, bookshop etc. Bus to oslo takes around 15 minutes
