A lovely property nestled amongst Olive Groves.

Tiered over 3 levels the property is built on the terraces of an ancient Olive grove. Great views of the not only the landscape but also of the stars on clear nights. We spent many evenings stargazing unspoilt by any light pollution. The property is some way out of A'mpolla the nearest place so a car is must. The house itself is modern, clean and cool in the heat. Terry and Dorothy the owners are very helpful and lovely and when one of our party had a fall they were very attentive. I would certainly recommend this property to my friends.

Lovely place, quiet and nice views

This property was great for us as it was out of the way. The kids loved the pool and when they were in bed we sat out with our parents looking at the amazing stars. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and helpful especially when one our group had a fall. We would certainly recommend this property to our friends.

A relaxing stay in a quiet location

The rental house is comfortable, modern and purpose-built with comfortable accommodation for six. It has a super splash pool and views over the valley, slightly obscured by olive and almond trees. It also has comfortable outside cooking and eating areas.

We were well looked after by Steve and Carol, the agents, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It is well located for beaches, shops and the like but a car is essential.The L'Ampolla area has much to see and do. The house is an hour from Tarragona, not far from Tortosa and close to the Ebro delta.

Wonderful place to relax

This is a beautiful property set in stunning surroundings of olive groves and hills. It is very spacious and has been renovated and furnished to a high standard. There are numerous outside seating areas to take full advantage of the views and the sunshine with a lovely shaded dining area. The private swimming pool with plenty of space to relax is an added bonus. The well planned modern kitchen had everything needed to make self catering easy and every room was light and airy with French doors leading to the outside terraces. The photos do not do justice to this lovely house and we really enjoyed our stay there. We were lucky that the owners were resident in their own property which is close by during our stay and were available to answer our questions about the area. This is very much a back to nature area and we even saw wild boar one evening. In the area there are beautiful nature reserves with way marked trails and vast deserted beaches and clifftop walks which are far removed from the crowded resorts.

L'Ampolla is situated on the coast, it boasts a fabulous marina with many restaurants where you can sample all the local dishes/tapas. This area is famous for it's rice produce and boasts fantastic fresh water fishing in the Ebro Delta. For families with children Universal Port aventura is only 40 minutes away. It is one of Europe's largest theme parks, it offers something for everyone. Miravet is also a tourist attraction, there is a medieval castle which you can explore, the views are amazing. Plus the only remaining river powered wooden ferry.Most beaches are blue flag and safe for families, most of and have life guards. There is also many traditional fiesta all through the year that are not to be missed. For bird watchers it is paradise there are many unusual species that live on the delta. This area has something to offer everyone!!
