Great little property in centre of lively town
This property is really pretty, well located within short walking distance of a boulangerie and supermarket. The village is lively and has evening markets and lots to do. The furnishings are ample and as described on the advert, although it should be noted that the 'second bedroom' is a cupboard with absolutely no ventilation. Our two toddlers got very hot at night in summer temperatures. We enjoyed the house as a whole and all that the area had to offer especially the great beaches.
However, four days into our stay the toilet broke. The leak meant that dirty water was leaking all over the bathroom floor and into the living area. These things happen, but it took 3 days for the owner to respond to any of our emails/calls and it was only when we emailed homes way that she responded. Because she was on holiday herself, she did not have the problem fixed for the whole of our 2 week stay. We were advised to turn the water off to the toilet and use a bucket to flush instead. This was a really horrible solution especially with 2 toddlers under 4 years old. It was completely disgusting, especially in summer heat. To top it off, after the final inspection and departure the owner claimed to have found crumbs on the kitchen floor and wanted some money. From us despite already giving us our deposit back. The house is nice for the price but the owners behaviour is not great.
