About this property

Rustic Log Home - Great for Outdoor Groups

Located on a scenic four acres, Pemby Getaway is close to town in an area that feels very private with country roads, farmers' fields, and gorgeous river walks. It is perfect for groups heading to the Hurley Pass, Whistler, Birkenhead, Lillooet, and Duffy Lake Road wildernesses.

The Pemby Getaway is a rustic and eclectic log cabin built 40 years ago by our family. It will sleep six very comfortably but does sleep 8. There is one full bathroom and a powder room, one bedroom with a queen and double, a master with a queen, and a loft with a twin and a single bed.

Rustic means that the home is like a cozy cabin in the woods. Everything is in working order and the house is fully equipped, but NO decorative matching linens, perfectly matching utensils or dishes, glossy stone counters, or stainless steel appliances. The interior is eclectic and finishes, fixtures, and appliances are regular older models that churn out marvelous meals. The floors are concrete with rugs. Please note that the home is not childproof and the loft is unsuitable for children under twelve years old.

There is plenty of parking out front of the house for those bringing their toys... bikes, snowmobiles, trailers, etc. It's a great spot for groups to enjoy the backcountry. And there is a fire ring in the back for hanging out.

The property has farm animals, including horses, chickens, sheep, and pigs. The horses are lovely to look at in the mornings and offer an incredibly peaceful and tranquil setting. The barn, livestock, and an automotive repair shop occupy the front of the property and the entrance into the property appears a little industrial.

Once you get past the barn and automotive shop and enter the property, there is plenty of privacy, quiet open spaces, a hot tub out back, and stunning views of our beautiful Mt Currie.

If you are looking for nature, outdoors, mountains, space, and relaxation in a rustic, cozy setting, you will enjoy your time here.

Please Note:

- This is a farm property, so people with allergies or have adversity to animals, insects, and the odd mouse trap may not enjoy the home
- Our five-star rating is important and we will need to verify with you that the home will be a fit for your group
-The home is not childproof and the loft is unsuitable for children under twelve years old.
- Due to livestock in the area, dogs are not permitted.
- Prices shown on VRBO.com are in US Dollars

Stunning
We absolutely loved our stay at Pemby Lodge. It is in the perfect location with Mount Currie as the backdrop, we spent happy evenings in the hot tub (so welcome after a days hiking) just soaking up the views. It is in a great location, peaceful but within a short distance to all Pemberton's amenities. It comfortably accommodated our group, The only downside was that some of our friends couldn’t travel with us, but it gives us a good excuse to come back!

Log cabin ranch with spectacular views.
We stayed for 6 nights to attend a family wedding held in a barn in Pemberton meadows. “The Pemby” was the perfect home base for the wedding, mountain hiking at Joffre Lakes, visits to Whistler and biking. It is exactly as advertised. A rustic log home in the centre of a 5 acre farm with horses, chickens, sheep and 2 pigs. The farm dog is very friendly and accompanied us every morning as we sipped our coffee, leaning on the paddock fence and admiring the snow capped mountains all around us. The property is very close to the town of Pemberton and very convenient for groceries or local restaurants. The log home was clean and comfortable and well equipped for home cooking, laid back relaxation and family gatherings. Alan, the owner, was very approachable and welcoming. He gave us a full tour of the farm the morning after we arrived. Would stay there again.

Peaceful Getaway
The property is exactly as described. The cabin is huge and really unique. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we need. Good wi-fi and satellite tv. The property is on a farm which was great for us as our 7 year old loved checking out the pigs, chickens, horses and other animals. Alan even was so kind as to let him help feed the animals which was highlight of the trip. The area is quite lovely. Quiet with a beautiful view of Mount Currier (exactly as pictured). We spent one evening watching paragliders soaring in the sky. Very short drive into downtown Pemberton (or a pretty short bike ride) where they have everything you might need. Would definitely recommend.
