A charming olive plantation/yoga retreat nestled in the hills of Umbertide, Umbria with panoramic views across wide-open landscapes. The Sanctuary by Caimeli is an authentically restored 18th century manor house and guest house with plenty of modern comforts. It sits on a gentle hill cusp with 40 hectares of rolling hills filled with olive, cherry, and nut trees surrounding the structures. The yoga studio is a restored horse stables with high ceilings and the ever present scent of lavender permeating the area. The infinity swimming pool adjoins the yoga studio and is framed in teak wood. The olive plantation is in turn surrounded by pure wilderness, grazing horses and is next to a nature preserve. The Sanctuary has its own water and electric source and believes in sustainability by growing many of its own food products that are served to the guests during the different seasons of the year.
The Guesthouse is a restored early 20th century tobacco drying tower with its original stone floors and wooden beams. It has its own entrance and pergola with barbecue.
