'De Hoedenmaker,' is an exceptional beautiful holiday house. It is located in the heart of Bruges. The facade is built in the traditional step-gable style that is typical of the finest Flemish houses. It is a charming and elegance house built in 1675. Located in the peaceful and quiet area of Saint Gilles quarter, about 400m north of the medieval port of the city and only a 10 minutes' walk to the Market Square and the Belfry tower. 'De Hoedenmaker' is a three-level house with a total of 110 square meters living area, completely furnished. The kitchen includes a full complement of cooking utensils and cutlery. Large, comfortable beds ensure a relaxing and enjoyable visit. The house faces south and takes in plenty of sun throughout the year. It has a private walled-in garden as well. You will love this relaxing resort and immediately feel at home.

Lovely historic house in great town

Lovely house! The description was accurate to the last word and the owner and her agent a joy to deal with. Everything went just as planned. The house is perfect for holidaying families, with comfortable good facilities. Location is great - central enough to walk everywhere but out of the bustle of the touristy town centre. The owner has put together a great 'guidebook' to Bruges and we tried several of the recommended restaurants, which were all of a good standard.

Great place to stay in Bruges

Great cozy house. Really good location on quiet street, about a 10-15 minute walk to the Market And Burg Squares. Awesome restaurant 5 houses down (Toms Diner, make a reservation). House is very comfortable and has a lot of character,, including a traditional narrow staircase. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. My daughter left her purse at a local restaurant on our last night and they tracked it down and shipped it back to us. Will definitely try to stay here the next time we come back to Bruges

lovelly Flemish home

Staying at the De Hoedenmaker's was a wonderful experience . The home is old Flemish style but with everything we needed to be comfortable . The proximity is very walkable to the old town center and is in a very safe neighborhood . The owners were easy to get a hold of and extremely accomodating . Great stay Colleen

Fantastic location, lovely host! Charming home in a beautiful historical city

Our family of 5 (including two young children) absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. The home is as described, comfortably furnished, close walking to all the sites in Bruges. Our host, Francis was kind enough to make up the children's room with child friendly bedding and furniture. The extra effort went a long way in making them feel at home. Francis was wonderful in providing directions to all pertinent necessities (grocery, free parking, pharmacy, etc.). If ever you find yourself planning a trip to Bruges our recommendation for accommodations is no where but here. The house book was informative and easy to read. We will definitely be returning to this lovely home for our next Bruges adventure.

Refuge in the city

This was a great place to stay for our time in the beautiful city of Brugge. The owners thought of everything to make the travelers stay easy and enjoyable. The house book included everything needed to enhance our visit in their home and their city. The book included the history, sights, restaurants, house rules and much more in multiple languages.

The house was very comfortable, roomy and cozy to come home to at the end of a long day of exploring. The home was immaculate and everything needed for your visit included.

It was within easy walking distance of everything and restaurants, shops and major attractions were close. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio where we could sit in the sun and have our beer and chocolates which the owners so thoughtfully left for us.

A WELL PRESENTED, WELL EQUIPPED, AND COMFORTABLE PROPERTY A WALK AWAY FROM THE CENTRE OF BRUGE. FRANCIS WAS VERY WELCOMING AND INFORMATIVE. THE PROPERTY IS WELL MAINTAINED AND VERY CLEAN.
