Full gas central heating, unlimited supply of hot water and a big south terrace.

We have CONVERTED our 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment into a big open planed kitchen/dinner/lounge and higher the standards with rewiring, LVT flooring and new bathrooms

3 bedrooms are at the front of the apartment opening on to a long balcony, with the 4th is at the back with an internal window and an on suite toilet/ shower room.

There is no aircon but all the bedrooms have ceiling fans.

An unlimited supply of hot water and and full gas central heat for winter use. We also have wifi and could be getting fiber optics by the summer! .

At the back of the apartment is a wonderful South facing terrace which seats 8, with a boiler / laundry room at the end.

Just off the lounge a a small terrace ideal for a quite read.

Street parking is mainly free apart from a few blue zones .

Parking can be a little difficult in August but you will always find somewhere. There is also a paying under ground car park 250m away.

The church is close by and you can hear the bells charming.. ..

The nearest beach PORT BO (good port) is very safe for children and they will enjoy climbing the rocks and snorkeling.

We've got a cot, highchair and Maclaren push chair. So if you've got young children let me know what you need.

We provide sheets and towels and we can provide beach towels on request.

Spacious, central and well appointed apartment on the beautiful Costa Brava coast

This large apartment in the picturesque coastal town of Calella de Palafrugell provided the perfect introduction to our first visit to the Costa Brava: super-convenient; clean and comfortable; and spacious and stylish. The owner, Glenys, is friendly, helpful and always on hand if needed. We can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

Lovely apartment and beautiful place

We have just returned home after a week's stay. The apartment is lovely, light and spacious. We had 7 adults in our group and we all had a lovely room and plenty of space.

Great location, just a stones throw from the beach. Fantastic cliff walks, and lovely bars and restaurants.

Glenys couldn't have been more helpful, meeting us on our first day and giving us lots of information on what was going on in the local area during our stay.

Very close to the local church and the bells. Glenys does supply earplugs though!! It hasn't put us off as we would love to return if we get the chance!

Superb Apartment & Location

We have just returned from this beautiful apartment, it is so well equipped, spacious and comfortable. I felt at home straight away, which normally takes me days to settle in. It got a lovely Spanish feel and is really well located, in a peaceful street just a hop skip and jump to the lovely beach & village Calella De Parafugel of which have a great choice of restaurants. It was great to be able to use beach chairs and umbrellas for the beach. The balcony was so peaceful and to return after a day and just relax with the end of day sun still lovely and warm. The surrounding areas have wonderful beaches, and the old town Parafugel is a lovely town to take a stroll excellent morning market, good selection of shops and great square to enjoy a coffee. Glenys was very helpful, we encountered a problem with car hire at airport on arrival and came to the rescue to take us back the following day. I would definitely recommend this apartment, and we would love to be able to return.

A wonderful apartment

I have recently spent a wonderfully relaxing holiday in this apartment with three other friends. Not only was it central, it was well equipped, clean, fresh with plenty of room and space to relax.

The owner couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Perfect for relaxing with no car needed

We were 4 women holidaying together and in need of a relaxing place to chill out - This apartment and the area of Calella certainly ticked all the boxes for us. The apartment was clean and well furnished and decorated - the kitchen was very well kitted out - the bathrooms were good and the showers were extremely good with good pressure and lovely hot water at all times, despite 4 of us showering frequently. We walked along the coast path to the lovely gardens of Cap Roig and in the other direction to the bay at Llafranc and we also took the local bus into Girona to see the flower festival (which was recommended to us by the owner) and was definitely worth the trip. We thought about hiring a car but in the end decided against it and found that we managed very well without it, despite the bus service not being fully operational until June. The Owner - Glenys - was very helpful and provided very good customer service both before the holiday and during it. The weather was wonderful and the location and accommodation all provided the chill out holiday that was just a dream when we booked it in the cold days of January. I would just add one thing - Calella does have a rather enthusiastic town clock - which you do actually get used to - and which I think would be heard wherever you were located in Calella. However I for one would definitely return to Calella and to this apartment again.

Apartment in Calella

I stayed in Calella for a week in June with my two children. I loved the apartment, it was spacious, comfortable and clean. Best of all was the location, right in the village. It was lovely to be able to walk within 2 minutes to beaches, restaurants and shops. It has a large balcony off the kitchen where we ate every day, and plenty of room to relax inside. Calella de Palafrugell itself is very pretty and safe, with pleasant walks along the coastal path to nearby Llfranc. The owner, Glenys, was extremely helpful, and went out of her way to help me with a small problem I had with my rental car. She was absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to accommodate us. I would highly recommend this apartment in a great spot on the Costa Brava.

The northern Costa Brava is one of the most naturally beautiful coasts of Spain with its fine sandy beaches,wooded coves and rugged cliffs.Calella de Palafrugell ranks amongst one of the most picturesque locations on this coastline alongside its immediate neighbours of Tamariu and Llafranc. This really is an exclusive holiday resort with beautiful fine sandy beaches and natural rock break waters that provide safe bathing for children.There are no nightclubs or late night bars at this location, just good quality restaurants and wine bars that enhance the town. There is no need for a car.There is a network of coastal footpaths which are in the main on the level and provide breathtaking views of the coast.A good local place to walk are the Cap Roig Botanical gardens,Lafranc and Tamariu.Within easy reach by car are a number of places including medieval villages of Pals, Monells and Peratallada. Figures and Port Ligat for the Dali enthusiasts and Barcelona lies 120 kms south.

Golf: There are numerous top quality golf courses situated around this area including emporda, two at Pals, and the golf club de Catalunya.There are a selection of 9 good quality golf courses, most within 1/2 an hours drive of this property.The prices are generally cheaper than the Costa del Sol but are in no way inferior. Local clubs include Club de Golf D,Aro which is 15 minutes,Club de Golf Costa Brava at Santa Cristina.Voted as in top 100 in europe and home of previous spanish open is Golf de Pals around 30 minutes, as is Golf Serres de Pals and the 36 hole Emporda golf club which has a mixture of 9 holes of wooded, links,water hazards and open choices.Around 45 minutes away is the PGA Catalnya which again is of the highest quality and previous home to Spanish open and the Sarazon Open.

The nearst airport is GIRONA which is a hub centre for RYANAIR. There are numerous routes across europe into this airport.This is about 45mins by car from the airport to the apartment. Various operators including EASYJET fly to BARCELONA main airport which is about 1 and a half hours drive to the apartment. Cross channel ferries operate to Calais, Caen ,Le Havre in France and then an easy days travel through France will allow you travel Callela in a day.Alternatively you can travel at a leisurely pace through France and stop overnight in one of the beautiful cities or wine regions. Easy road access is available from throughout Europe

Notes:

  • We cannot emphasise how beautiful and exclusive the town of Calella de Palafrugell really is which makes it an ideal location for family holidays. The town has great walks along the promenades passing old colonial style houses and excellent views of the sea. There is no shortage of good quality restaurants and wine bars in the town most within a few hundred metres. The shops are also within a few hundred metres to purchase food and wines as required. The larger rear balcony of the apartment provides a great location to dine al fresco and to sun bathe.It is south facing and gets direct sunlight for a good part of the day.Access to the apartment is gained via a short normal straight stairway from street level with a hand rail.This is fine for the elderly but the more infirm mray struggle to climb the stairs. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher and washing machine. The spacious lounge/dining area provides ample space for everyone to eat or relax.
