Sumptuously Decorated Barn Conversion Within a Short Distance of the Coast

Overview

Property

Updated: 05-Oct-2016
One bedroom property sleeps 2

Weighing in at a whopping 40 ft by 22 ft the Treehouse is a glorious, open-plan, loft-style, timber-clad barn conversion that nestles on the side of a tranquil, wooded valley above a winding stream. Crackington Haven is an unspoilt jewel in North Cornwall's tiara, so it's no surprise the odd celebrity has chosen it as their sanctuary. A mix of wild seas and rugged coastline is a great source of inspiration and joy for artists, poets, and surfers alike. Crackington is ideally placed for exploring the glorious countryside of North Cornwall: to the north and south there are a wide variety of beaches with surfing conditions to suit all abilities. Check the excellent Stormrider Guide for details. The haven itself has a wonderful and dramatic bay and beach with something for everybody. Invigorating cliff top walks, glorious photographic opportunities, rock pools to explore and of course, Strangles, the national trust gem - for the energetic. Right by the beach are two cafes where cappuccino's and the Cabin Cafe's full English Breakfast await the hungry, while the Coombe Barton pub assures a warm welcome to both locals and visitors alike. Watching the sunset from the wall in the Summer is a particular treat. There is also a great village store and post office, stocking Cornish specialities and goodies like sun dried tomatoes, delicious coffee and teas. Further afield for those who wish to explore, there is Bodmin Moor, Padstow with the Rick Stein eateries, and the magical and mystical St Nectan's Glen waterfall on the way to Tintagel Castle - King Arthur's birthplace. Don't miss out on Boscastle, famous from the flood, with its harbour, National Trust Shop and Visitor Centre - its great pubs and - the Witchcraft Museum! There is also the Boscastle Farm Shop close to the cliff path for great meals, fresh veg and home reared meat, so supermarkets are entirely optional. All in all, The Treehouse in its quiet pastoral setting off the beaten track, is a great base to explore for those wishing to escape the hectic, urban rush.
