North East Fife offers a great variety of pursuits for holiday makers and visitors. For golfers worldwide, St Andrews is the Home of Golf – a place they must visit at some time in their life. However, the seven public courses of St Andrews represent only a few of the many excellent courses to be found within a short ‘drive’.
Apart from golf, the ancient town of St Andrews is steeped in history, having the oldest university in Scotland, and its large medieval cathedral dating back to the 12th century.
For others, the attraction is in the miles of unspoilt beaches, woodlands and peaceful countryside , where they can fish, hike, cycle or generally just explore, freely and uninterrupted.
New Lulgate is ideally situated near the top of Lucklawhill, between St Andrews and Dundee, approximately 7 miles from each. The front of the house offering stunning panoramic views over the Firth of Tay and St Andrews Bay; the other side providing access to quiet woodland and country walks.

Accommodation consists of 2 large double bedrooms – each with two single beds. Each room has built in wardrobes and plenty of storage space. If really required there are two further single beds in an upstairs loft conversion - via a Ramsey ladder for the more agile!

There is also a separate dining room, and an area has been set out as a possible workplace for those who cannot ‘leave their work at home’. Wifi is accessible. Beautiful views, fantastic hosts
The property was quiet, secluded and very cosy. It had everything we needed plus a few extra treats we didn't expect. The hosts were lovely. Gordon greeted us and Marion wished my partner a happy birthday then Gordon showed us around and had a lovely chat. We had issues with our vehicle on the day of leaving and Gordon was very accommodating and treated us to an interesting discussion where we got to hear stories of his life. 5 stars for everything, we will definitely be staying again and we can't wait.

Disappointing
Loverly hosts, view fabulous, cleanliness was a problem Entrance room, conservatory and skylight windows in living room full of thick spider webs , dead flies , spiders and snails . Cushions and curtains dirty and stained. Kitchen tap continuesly dripping making a noice. Mouse droppings on the towels which were left on beds. Fridge had a smell and top was covered in dead insects. Rained on 3rd day and conservatory and entrance room [which contained the fridge) roof leaked. Came home a day early
