The large mature gardens (900sq m) are private and enclosed, with sun all day and a shady patio area under the trees for outdoor meals. Well equipped built-in barbecue. There is a splendid upstairs terrace off the master bedroom with panoramic views over the pool, mountains and sunrise. The ground floor terrace is shaded by a leafy pergola. There is off road parking for 2 vehicles, and an electronic entrance gate. The pool is 8x4m. Perfect for families, golfers or those seeking a quiet retreat. The property is air conditioned and has wireless broadband for internet connection. The garden studio cottage sleeps 2 in twin beds, and has a separate entrance to that of the main villa.

Perfect for a three generational family holiday

We found the villa as expected in a great location at end of cul de sac, but convenient for access to beach and shops. Very quiet and un-overlooked.The villa was clean and well equipped, except that the beds only had one, rather thin, pillow on each bed and only 2 tea towels. We would have liked spare towels but managed by washing those we had provided. The kitchen was a little tired and in need of updating. The pool and gardens were well maintained with regular visits by staff. It worked very well that the grandparents made use of the cottage in the garden, while the rest of the family (9 people, aged 13 to 47) used the house. We all loved the garden hammocks and there was an ongoing table tennis tournament all week! We had hired 3 cars between us and did some sightseeing around the immediate area. MaryLou met us on arrival and was very helpful and efficient.

I would recommended this villa to others wanting a family holiday.

A wonderful week

There were nine of us staying at Casa Salamandra to celebrate the end of our exams. The villa had everything you could possibly need, and the pool and barbecue were especially useful. There are two supermarkets only a five minute walk away and it was an easy walk to the harbour. Marylou made everything very easy on arrival and departure, and was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here, we had a wonderful time!

Fantastic holiday.

We were 2 families with children of different ages staying at Casa Salamandra. The garden was great for younger kids who loved the play house and hammocks. The older ones could walk to and home from the night club Aqwa mist and Puerto Banus. Shopping is easy at the nearby supermarket and there are plenty of restaurants to walk to. Tranquil and beautiful surroundings with everything near at hand. We had a really relaxing holiday. Thank you!

An excellent week

Just got back from a week's stay at Casa Salamandra. It was ideally situated far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but by no means isolated - just a 10 minute walk to the town and 15 minutes to the beach. The facilities were in good working order, everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to make self-catering easy. The agent was friendly and made sure we settled in quickly, giving us a guided tour of the villa upon our arrival. I would definitely recommend a stay at Casa Salamandra to everyone.

You wont be disappointed!!

Booked this villa for a group of 7 ladies (age 40) & it was perfect!! Plenty of space, well equipt kitchen & the pool & outside area were well used!! It was within easy walking distance of 'the' Puerto Banus strip (approx 15mins) and even closer were supermarkets, cafe bars & restaurants. The villa itself was tucked away in a very quiet cul-de-sac (bit of a hill leading from villa up to the shops etc) so never any noise!

The lady who looks after villa is really friendly & nothing too much trouble!! Only a phone call away if you need anything!!

I would definately consider returning...easy to get to from Malaga airport, just hopped on a bus outside to Marbella, then a short taxi ride to villa....enjoy! :-)

I'll be back...

Our party consisted of ten 18 year olds. We were all from England and since we had just finished our exams we had the intention of testing the night life of Spain. This review will probably lean towards the more practical nature of the villa and the ability to do things on a tight budget!

There were two good and relatively cheap supermarkets within easy walking distance with enough previsions to keep anyone happy!

The walk to the beaches and nightlife was a little long - about 20 minutes but do-able. The odd time we got taxi's we found them to be reasonably good value. The actual beaches are nice but busy. The amount of fake sunglasses and watches on sale is staggering! We found one street absolutely packed with bars and clubs which kept us amused for our 10 day holiday. We were lucky enough to see Spain beat the Netherlands in the World Cup Final which proved to be an entertaining evening to say the least! So if you are looking for a party, you will find it - not to say that the area isn't family friendly, it is, but not after 3am. The immediate area around the villa though, is very quiet, tame and relaxing.

As 18 year olds go we eat exceedingly well. Although the kitchen is smallish, it catered for our every need. There is a massive fridge which was very useful when it came to storing beer! We had BBQ's for about half the time and the kitchen was able to cope with the industrial size quantities of food we made for ourselves.

The pool is very nice. It is well maintained by a pleasant gardener who we saw once very very early in the morning and it's always kept at a nice temperature.

The bedrooms were clean and very luxurious - snazzy bathrooms, powerful showers, lots of space. There was incredibly effective air conditioning in every room of the house.

The representative for the house was very easy going and kind. If we had the slightest of worries she would be at the door within minutes to sort it out. She was an excellent bonus to a perfect holiday villa. I would recommend this place without hesitation to anyone.
