Ideal retreat for a relaxing getaway
We (three adults, one baby) used the chalet for three weeks in November. I don't expect it's usually much of a concern in these places but the heating worked just fine and the place was never cold despite a few days of uncharacteristically cold weather for the region.
The chalet is literally beside a coarse sand beach, and a small woodland park. The village of St. Mandrier sur Mer is about 30minute walk away, or 10 minute bus ride, and has everything you could need groceries wise as well as several very nice little eateries.
On the note of food, there really isn't much reason to want to eat out as the kitchen is well equipped, with a decent oven, and induction hob, plenty of cookware and some good sharp knives. The extractor fan not the most effective, but otherwise it's a very pleasant place for those who like to cook.
The bedrooms are a decent size, with a standard double bed each, plenty of pillows, a light duvet and some throws provided. We were easily able to fit a travel cot into one of the bedrooms as well.
The bathroom contains the washing machine (no dryer), a large walk in shower with a drencher head, a decent size hot water cylinder so we were never short, and all the usuals after that.
The living area is spacious, well lit, and very comfortable.
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday only, and the key is collected from a local holiday outlet - there were a few issues surrounding this point in our case as we arrived on the Sunday evening after everything was closed and so had to take alternative accomodations for that night, but everything was fine once we got the keys on the Monday.
So no negatives really - at the price it was pitched I can honestly say that we couldn't have done better!
