Luxury apartment for 2; best views in Le Marche + lovely pool at Villa Miramonti

Updated: 18-Oct-2016
Style And Charm, in Lovely Gardens with Delightful Pool and Breath-taking Views!

Villa Miramonti nestles on a hillside surrounded by landscaped gardens full of ornamental, fruit and olive trees with spectacular panoramic views across a magical rural landscape of rolling fields, valleys, woods, hilltop medieval towns and the range of Sibillini Mountains over which the sun sets in the evenings. The house, gardens and lovely pool enjoy full sun all day but there are plenty of shady spots to be discovered. Our location is tranquil, yet we are a short walk from the nearest village and a short drive from Servigliano and all its amenities.

Villa Miramonti’s two charming, luxury, vacation rental apartments can accommodate 2 or 3 people – they are the perfect base for a unique holiday in idyllic, rural surroundings. From here you can experience the best features of Italy: its culture, way of life, beaches, mountains, food & wine. Our apartments are fully independent, furnished and equipped to a very high standard for self-catering, with stylish and comfortable bright living areas, modern kitchens and bathrooms; each has its own unique character. They both have private entrances, parking spaces and private areas for sitting or eating outside under the warm sun or bright stars. Gentle steps lead down through our olive trees to our beautiful swimming pool where you can relax and enjoy the stunning panorama; you can find a shady spot in the lovely gardens or you can relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Le Marche from your private balcony or terrace.

Apartment RONDINE, our stylish one bedroom apartment, on the first floor of Villa Miramonti, is perfect for couples looking for a relaxing, romantic holiday. A lovely wrought-iron staircase leads up to a large, private tiled terrace with teak sun loungers, dining table, chairs and umbrella; an ideal spot for relaxing or eating outside. There are magnificent open views across the surrounding rural landscape and towards the Sibillini Mountain range. This lovely apartment is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. With its high chestnut beamed ceilings and parquet flooring, wooden kitchen cabinets and lovely local tiles, RONDINE is full of light and warmth.

The main living area has a comfortable sofa for relaxing, watching television or reading with views across the terrace and up the hill towards olive trees and vines. For your relaxation, there is a modern High Definition TV with both terrestrial & satellite reception, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, a mini Hi-Fi system (radio & CD player, with iPhone/ipod connectivity) and, of course, free internet Wi-Fi. You will find a small collection of books and DVDs to enjoy during your stay.

A hallway with mirror and wrought iron console table leads from the living room to the cosy double bedroom with views across the rolling countryside. There is a comfortable wrought iron bed and wooden furniture, including a double wardrobe, two bedside tables with lamps and a tall chest of drawers. Off the bedroom there is a light, modern, fully tiled en-suite bathroom with a glass fronted walk-in shower; there are glass & chrome shelves, a lit mirror with shaving point and a hair-dryer. The apartment is centrally heated during cold periods; the building is well insulated and all windows double-glazed always keeping the temperature pleasant, but ventilation fans are available in the summer. Cotton bed sheets and fluffy white towels are of course provided – and changed weekly. In addition pool towels are also provided for your stay.

In the apartment, you will also find a folder of useful information (including suggestions for trips to the coast, lakes or national park) and you can make use of one of our portable GPS satellite navigation units, with many interesting pre-set destinations - places to visit & restaurants - subject to payment of a (returnable) deposit. We also provide for your stay, two folding chairs, a beach umbrella and a cool bag so that you can enjoy your days out at the beach or mountains!

Please note that the apartment is Non Smoking and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.

About the Owner

In 2012 we left our busy lives near Oxford-UK (Joe in the 'corporate world' and Carolyn in Education) together with our dog, Django, for a new life in Le Marche. We have both lived and worked in Italy before (Joe is fluent in Italian) and we love the way of life, history, culture, landscape and, of course, the food! We're also passionate about the sea and the mountains and now we can enjoy both when we want a day out. We now live in the main part of the Villa and have our own private entrance, terrace & gardens. Django is very friendly & well behaved; he now has a little "brother" Oskar to keep him company. They both spend most of their time with us and sleep inside.

“Wonderful stay at Villa Miramonti”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago for a stay in July 2015

My fiancée and I had a wonderful week at Villa Miramonti. The apartment itself was very well equipped with modern furnishings and appliances, and our hosts Carolyn and Joe made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, including a very handy guide book highlighting the best things to see and do. Staying in Rondine we really enjoyed the terrace and eating breakfast in the morning sunshine.

The gardens at Villa Miramonti are beautifully landscaped and the range of flowers and trees make for a fantastic setting. The pool is looked after very well, and we enjoyed a swim everyday because the views were just too good to miss out on.

We found Villa Miramonti to be a perfect location to explore and enjoy the stunning Le Marche region - nestled in the countryside, but within easy travelling distance of historic towns, picturesque lakes and sandy beaches. We can't thank Carolyn and Joe enough for being such wonderful hosts.

We look forward to returning in the future!

Secluded luxury apartments in central Le Marche

  • 5 of 5

Villa Miramonti offers 2 luxury apartments. Everything one could need is provided including TV and music system, fully fitted kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent shower and a folder, divided into localities, providing information about localities, activities and sites of interest. Carolyn and Joe are also on hand should one need more information.

The apartments are centrally located for the sea, mountains and numerous hillside villages. A car is essential to explore the areas highlights which include religious and Roman sites as well as an excellent local winery.

Having visited in the spring, I particularly enjoyed walking through wild flower meadows in the Sibillini mountains. However, the highlights were relaxing on the terrace of Villa Rondine enjoying the morning sun during breakfast and watching the sun setting behind the snow covered Sibillini mountains from the spacious garden in the evening.

Le Marche is Italy at its best. Villa Miramonte is the ideal base from which to explore.

mooi appartement in een mooie omgeving

  • 4 of 5

Owner's Response: ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF ABOVE REVIEW: The apartment and the property is worth 9/10 ! - The apartment ( " Rondine " ) is very nicely decorated with all the comfort and equipment. - The pool is soothing and has a nice view of the region . - The owners provide an information booklet with attractions, restaurants and shops in the vicinity available and are always willing to help you along. The fact that they are English , it makes contact float . - The welcome pack we received at the beginning of our stay we felt very cool ! - The apartment is located an hour away from the sea (Beautiful beaches) and you're an hour away in the Monte Sibillini. - Nearby are picturesque towns and beautiful cities. A car is a must for this region . - We had a wonderful week spent there ! This is an excellent review – on a par with all our other guest comments…. but not sure why we only got 4 stars out of 5!!

Sehr erholsamer Wanderurlaub in sehr ruhiger, schö

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location for couples or lone traveler.

  • 5 of 5

Miramonti, as its name suggests has wonderful views of the Sibillini mountains. This upstairs apartment is thoughtfully and comprehensively equipped to ensure that you sleep well, have plenty of space to relax inside and outside and are able to prepare your own meals, whether on the grill outside or in your own kitchen. The compactness of the accommodation makes for affordability, while the extensive gardens and pool area offer a feeling of space. We enjoyed the fact that Carolyn and Joe live on property. They are discreet, allowing guests their privacy but are available with help and advice and to ensure that the pool is sparkling clean and that if any problem arises it is fixed at once. The location is great, being walking distance from the small hamlet of Curetta and a short drive to Servigliano, one of the most interesting small Marche towns that also offers everything that the traveler' needs, including a choice of three restaurants, all excellent in their different ways. I would thoroughly recommend Miramonti to couples and single travelers.

Beautiful and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

I stayed with my girlfriend the Rondine apartment in the early summer. We were looking for a peaceful, relaxing environment and we certainly found it at Villa Miramonti!

The apartment is well equipped and nicely decorated by the owners. The large balcony was perfect to enjoy coffee and breakfast in the sun, with the amazing view on the Sibillini mountains.

The same view can also be enjoyed from the large private pool. It was a delight sunbathing on the comfortable sunbeds near the pool. Or reading a book in the hammock, with just the sound of birds on the background. It´s very easy to relax and let go the daily routine, as it is so peaceful and quiet.

The town of Servigliano is nearby, were we did most of our daily shopping for food. It also has a few nice restaurants, bars and a really good Gelateria for the best Italian icecream! Also the local butcher sells high quality of meat. We bought excellent meat to grill on the BBQ back at the villa, which was also well equipped. Charcoal was already there, so we only had to fire up the BBQ! The local restaurants are of high quality and the food and wine is very cheap.

The location is perfect for daytrips to several beautiful towns (like Ascoli Piceno), the Fiastra lake or the beach (all within an hour drive). Beach chairs, an umbrella and cooler bag are available at the villa. So the owners thought of everything!

Joe and Carolyn proved to be very hospitable, friendly and helpful. They were full of suggestions and ideas, but also respected our privacy. We certainly would recommend the villa for a relaxing, Italian holiday!

From the Owner

We decided to settle here, after spending a few holidays in Central Le Marche getting to know the area well. Although we were looking for seclusion, nature and tranquillity, we wanted our location to be easy to find and relatively close to the airport and motorways. We chose our Villa as soon as we first saw the breath-taking views which really do have the ‘wow’ factor! Our established, lush gardens, the rolling meadows and hills around the Villa, our ancient oaks, the nearby woodlands and magnificent hill-top towns across the valley of the River Tenna, with the backdrop of the Sibillini Mountain range over which the sun sets – all convinced us that this is a magical and unique spot and we never tire of the landscape and the nature that surrounds us!

‘Miramonti’ means ‘Mountain Views’ in Italian – and we are indeed surrounded by magnificent, panorama! From our beautiful gardens & pool you can enjoy the glorious open views towards the magnificent Sibillini Mountains National Park, just 20km away. Our location is ideal for both Culture & Relaxation; medieval hilltop villages, archaeological sites, churches & museums, together with lively seaside towns and excellent restaurants offering a unique holiday mix!

Our Villa is in the Province of Fermo with its rolling hills, lakes & woods in the stunning countryside of central Le Marche. It stands secluded within 1.5 hectares of meadows and south-facing landscaped gardens full of olive and fruit trees. We are 350m above sea level, on a hillside hidden away at the end of a quiet leafy lane just 1.5km from the little village of Curetta, 6km from the lovely neoclassical town of Servigliano with its beautiful piazza, shops, bars & restaurants and 5km from the medieval hill town of Santa Vittoria in Matenano. Every Monday during the summer, in Servigliano, there is a lovely night market. Also in Servigliano, the 'Torneo of Castel Clementino' re-evokes the lost Medieval period; locals parade and feast in period costume, colourful cultural events culminate in a spectacular tournament on horseback.

You can explore the region’s towns and villages from your holiday base at Villa Miramonti following the many excellent routes and circular drives or cycle routes. Our three main provincial towns - all have historical centres, piazzas, churches, museums, restaurants & markets easily explored on foot with parking easy to find: Macerata, Fermo and Ascoli Piceno, with one of the most elegant piazzas in Italy. All of the surrounding little hill towns have a weekly market. Every Thursday evening, in Fermo during the summer, there is an outdoor antiques market with lovely little restaurants serving dinner on balconies overlooking the square. Macerata, famous for its outdoor Opera House (the Sferisterio), also has a lovely street market every Wednesday. Many world famous designers manufacture their products here in Le Marche and you can find amazing bargains in shoes, bags, knitwear and other garments at astonishing reductions in the outlet shops towards the coast.

The blue-flagged sandy beaches of the warm Adriatic are within 30km with charming seaside resorts and excellent seafood restaurants. Porto San Giorgio, Grottamare, San Benedetto del Tronto all have lovely palm tree lined promenades and marinas. Many smaller inland towns have ‘Orange Flag’ quality awards from the Touring Club of Italy - Montelupone, Urbisaglia, Sarnano, Caldarola & San Ginesio. The archaeological park of Urbs Salvia is impressive; Falerone, Macerata, & Ancona have many Roman ruins & artefacts. The great Cistercian abbey, the Abbadia di Fiastra, is nearby with guided tours available and the Tolentino Basilica has a magnificent cycle of early 14thcentury frescoes. A little further away, San Severino, Camerino, Cingoli and Loreto may be of interest and you could also explore Urbino and even Assisi, Florence and Siena.

There are some short walks with views from Villa Miramonti along paths and quiet asphalt roads around Curetta, pleasant for early morning or evening strolls. Other circular trails with good views and with nearby restaurants, are found around Monte San Martino, Lago San Ruffino, Smerillo and the Abbadia di Fiastra Nature Reserve, a short drive away. Going further afield, the Golle dell' Infernaccio waterfalls, footpaths and quiet beaches around Lake Fiastra and nature trails to the caves of the Fratti are spectacular. There are many well marked walks within the Sibillini National Park of varying lengths and degree of difficulty; maps and information are available from the National Park. For the more adventurous, a wide range of activities awaits: walking or hiking, cycling, horse riding, kayaking & paragliding, as well as skiing in the winter!

From the Owner

Our two holiday apartments, within the Villa, combine style and comfort in a stunning rural location with a beautiful pool and gardens that have fantastic all-round panoramic views. You can also enjoy these views and the tranquillity from the privacy of your balcony or terrace, day or night. As we only have two holiday apartments, there is plenty of space to find a peaceful spot and the pool will always be quiet. Whilst we always respect your privacy, we are happy to assist you during your stay; to recommend and book a restaurant, to advise about days out or events etc. The Villa’s hillside position is quiet and tranquil, yet is close to the lovely and lively neo-classical town of Servigliano, with its shops, market and elegant piazza where we can enjoy a restaurant meal or a coffee, ice cream or an aperitivo. Also, being situated between the Sibillini National Park and the Adriatic coast, we are ideally positioned to get the best of both! You can be as active or relaxed here as you wish! It's this unique mix that makes holidaying here so special.
