It is just a few minutes from historic downtown St. Augustine, where there is plenty of food, shopping, and tourist sites. Two of St. Augustine’s best-known restaurants, Saltwater Cowboy’s and Oasis, are right down the street. The Alligator Farm is also close by and boasts a new zip-lining experience.

Historical ghost tours through the old city are always a favorite. Take a sightseeing cruise around the Matanzas Bay or a horse-drawn carriage tour, ride the trolley, climb the Saint Augustine lighthouse, and explore the Castillo de San Marcos. There is even a Pirate cruise and a new Pirate and Treasure museum. Dine on the patio of A1A Ale overlooking the bay. Browse the many gift shops and art galleries along and around St. George Street. Check out the historical buildings, like the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse. Rent a jet ski or a Segway.
