This lovely ground floor corner apartment is within a secure, friendly private complex, with two beautiful swimming pools, one suitable for small children, tennis court and play area. Private and secure covered car parking space. Situated just 10 minutes south of Alicante town and 8 minutes from the Airport (away from the flight path). Views of the Clot De Galvany Natural Park, with its nature trails, picnic areas and observation points ideal for bird watching. Within 10 minutes walking distance with its fabulous sand dunes is Carabassi Beach. Just a few minutes walk away are restaurants, bars, supermarket and a local bus stop. Benidorm is 30 minutes away with the Terra Mitica Theme Park and Aqualandia Water Park. A 5 minute car journey away is the ancient town of Santa Pola with its 16th Century Castle, excellent restaurants, twice weekly outdoor market and this is the gateway to the uninhabited island of Tabarca with its underwater nature reserve.

A lovely property to choose in Gran Alacant, with a pool and just 5 minutes away from the beach!

We stayed in this lovely, well maintained property over the Easter break with a family of 5, 3 of whom were young children. The villa had ample space for our family and a cot/highchair was also made available by the owner, as were a few bottled drinks and water, which made for a warm welcome. The owner of the property kept in touch at all times as required through the homeaway messaging app and offered advice to us when we requested it. The apartment has an outdoor pool but it is really most suitable to use in the summer due to the water temperature. Nevertheless our children did use it for a little fun and enjoyed it, despite the cold water!

The property is a 5 minute drive to the local Carabassi beach, and around 20 minutes drive to the airport. There are some local bars and restaurants at the end of the complex, within 5 minutes walking distance, and a lovely little fish and chips restaurant we tried called Aquarius which was enjoyed by the whole family. The apartment is equipped with washing up liquid and sponges, cleaning products, a hairdryer, electrical adaptors, towels, plenty of cooking utensils and quite a few other items which have been left in the bathroom and kitchen presumably by the owner and previous guests, and we were told could also be used. English TV channels are available. There was a private seating and dining area for our villa which had sunbeds, a swinging bench, a dining table, chairs and a small bbq set. Buckets and spades can also be borrowed for use. The villa has a small play area outside with a slide and see-saw which the children really enjoyed having and the area always felt very secure. The views are beautiful from the apartment and there was private parking space available for our car. I would definitely advise anyone who is considering staying here to hire a car if you wish to get around, as I did not see any local taxis around. The area is a quiet and peaceful one and makes for a good relaxing choice of location. For more hustle and bustle, the promenade is only around 20 minutes drive away and is a lovely area, where the Santa Barbara castle is situated. There is a small retail park with shops and supermarkets such as Mercado and Lidl, within a 5 minute drive away. We also drove to other cities and it took us under an hour to reach Benidorm and around 2 hours to get to Valencia. Overall, the owner was pleasant and welcoming and has kept her apartment clean and maintained it to high standards.

Very nice property

Stayed for a week in October with family. Very nice apartment with two great pools for the kids. Apartment well equipped and clean. Met by our hosts who were very helpful on arrival. Short walking distance to a number of restaurants. About a 10/15 minute walk from a very nice beach with watersports and beach bars etc.

Best location for staying in Gran Alicant

Had a lovely family holiday in sue's apartment. If you want to stay in Gran Alicant it is the best location near the restaurants and beach. However, so glad we hired a car. There is a bus and a train that takes you to the supermarket etc. But in 32degrees heat and with 3 small children that wouldn't have been much fun. The nearest supermarket is 8 minutes drive away, the beach is a few minutes drive away and then 5 minute walk from the car park down the boardwalk to the beach. The apartment has everything you need, two large pools, large garden for sunbathing, BBQ etc. However the apartment could do with some updating. The electrics mean every time you cook an evening meal and have the oven and hobs on at the same time the electric trips. Easily fixed as fuse box in living room and was quite amusing by the end of our stay. Could also do with having hooks up in the bathroom or bedroom as nowhere to hang any towels, mirror in master bedroom would be great too. Previous people staying have left kitchen and bathroom products, which is great as then you don't need to buy salt and pepper etc. However, other people's belongings seemed to almost be in every drawer so bit frustrating when you are a family of 5 and you need storage! Especially in the kitchen.

This apartment is perfect for a family but quite small for 3 couples, again with limited storage for the people staying on the sofa bed.

Yes- we would definely return to this apartment if we decided to holiday in Gran Alicant again. Sue was very helpful and friendly and answered emails and phone calls when we had a question. This apartment was a good base to go and explore the local area. However super pleased we hired a car as that really made the holiday!

Excellent

Lovely, modern and spotlessly clean apartment in a well kept complex. It had everything you could need right down to a cool bag and freezer blocks for the beach! Sue was very helpful throughout and greeted us at the apartment on our arrival with a few groceries as our flight arrived late evening. Beach was fantastic, big supermarket can be reached by the little bus or train without too much hassle. Nice little street of bars/restaurants close by. Would definitely visit again and have recommended to family and friends.

Fantastic

Sue was very helpful and kind. The apartment was excellent and the location was great with plenty of resturaunts ect nearby.The pool is right outside the property and was beautiful. An extremely relaxing and stress free holiday would definately go back to this excellent property.

Absolutely brill

Had a fabulous holiday in this apartment, it had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, even playing cards and dominoes! Very relaxing and very well maintained throughout. Plenty of bars and restaurants just around the corner so no need to drive anywhere if you don't want to.

Would definately go again!

Within 5 minutes drive away is Los Arenales del Sol with its variety of bars, restaurants, promenade and wonderful blue flag beach with picnic areas. The ancient town of Santa Pola is 10 minutes drive away whereby you can visit the Sea Museum and the Aquarium in the Town Castle. In the evening, enjoy the bars, discos and summer terraces on the seafront. Stroll around the town and the quiet walkways of the Palmeral Park or la Cenia, with recreation areas and playgrounds for the children. Only 10 minutes drive away is the 1st class international city of Alicante. It's a city steeped in history, rich in culture, awash with every kind of shop and restaurant imaginable and literally bursting with beach life. This city offers numerous cultural activities from popular festivals to street concerts, theatre groups, choirs and exhibitions. Or take a stroll along the Marina promenade with bars and excellent restaurants.
