This smart contemporary chalet is situated in a tranquil residential location a 3 minute drive from the town centre or a two minute walk from the local bus stop. Chalet les Favrands offers a wonderful home from home with plenty of space both inside and out.

The chalet has a large open plan living space on the ground floor with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors leading out onto a sunny terrace with Mont Blanc views. Inside there is a comfortable sitting area with several sofas and a circular wood-burning fireplace providing plenty of heat as you relax with a glass of wine. The adjacent dining table comfortably seats 12 and the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar has everything a chef could need.

Outside in the enclosed garden, children can build snowmen or play games on the lawn in the summer, whilst you unwind in the sun and watch from the terrace.

For relaxation after a day on the mountain, you can look forward to soothing any aching muscles in the outdoor hot-tub under the stars. Alternatively you can simply switch off in front of a film in the living room.

For your convenience, the chalet includes a ski room where you can store all your equipment, a washing machine and garage as well as exterior parking.

Mountain Base are a rentals company who offer a carefully selected portfolio of self-catering chalets and apartments in the Chamonix Valley. Operating since 2004, we are one of the few British run businesses in Chamonix to hold the Carte Professionnelle which obliges us to maintain a Garantie Financière (cash bond) to ensure all our clients are financially protected.

Our philosophy is simply excellent professionalism and service. From a speedy response to any questions through to a dedicated in-resort service, our team are at your disposal. Our office is in central Chamonix, so we are on hand to advise you throughout your stay and organise any little extras that you need.

Mountain Base's services include everything from pre-ordering lift passes through to arrangements for catering, equipment hire, ski lessons and activities such as husky sledging and paragliding.

What makes this chalet unique

Although Chalet les Favrands is a fantastic property in its own right it is the separate apartment that helps to make it unique. This extra living space is ideal for grandparents, a couple or staff who are looking for some privacy. The large outdoor garden of the chalet is also a rarity and perfect for those with families.

Notes:
Mountain Base offers a fantastic pre-arrival service and are able to make various arrangements for you to ensure your holiday is a success. We can organise everything from lift passes to catering to equipment hire as well as various activities such as husky dog sledging and paragliding. For those of you that are travelling with children we can provide cots and highchairs at an additional cost and recommend childcare providers.

Superb accommodation highly recommended and great location

We had a lovely time here, the property is finished to a lovely standard and has great facilities. It's not too far from town and the lifts -about a 15 minutes walk.

Super chalet for family holiday!

This really is a super chalet to stay at, and great for groups. We were two families of four and had a grandparent pop in for a few days.

Incredible views, plenty of space to relax in, close to town, and great hot tub! The location is private yet close to amenities, and of course really accessible to the transport network.

Negatives - Lighting system is a bit complex to work out, a knife sharpener would be good, also watch out for the lamppost in the middle of the drive entrance, judging by the dents in it, I wasn't the first to reverse into it! Finally the entertainment system could do with a modern upgrade that allows you to pair a phone to it for music purpose! This is purely constructive criticism, we really enjoyed the property, and as always enjoyed the fabulous town of Chamonix.

Stunning, modern chalet with amazing views

We had a very nice stay at Chalet les Favrands this Christmas and would definitely recommend it. All but 4 of us were non-skiers so spent much of our time at the chalet. The property is just out of Chamonix itself but easily walkable to the town centre. The thing we really like was the living area, which is huge compared to many places we've stayed before and works really well from a social perspective. We were a large group and it suited us perfectly. My parents were also very grateful for the separate apartment which allowed them to escape from the kids and have their own space when it was needed! A small thing but a nice touch was the little Christmas tree that the resort team (Mountain Base) put up for us - we felt well looked after and the chalet was altogether perfect for our needs, we will certainly look to stay here next time we are in Chamonix. That's even mentioning the hot tub on the terrace which has the most wonderful views of the mountains and the glacier, the kids were in it for hours! Thank you Mountain Base.

Belle propriété appréciée par les petits et les grands

Nous avons bien profité de ce beau chalet en famille.Nous n'avons pas beaucoup utilisé la voiture car le centre ville n'est pas très loin à pieds et les départs des sentiers de promenade sont à quelques mètres.

Les petits comme les grands ont bien apprécié le bain à remous après les ballades.

Transport in Chamonix:- Although a car provides additional flexibility, Chamonix has a regular bus service that runs the length of the valley. Guests with either a “carte d’hote” or a ski pass can use the valley’s buses for free.

By Car:- Chamonix is directly accessible from the A40 in France, via the Mont-Blanc Tunnel from Italy or the Col des Montets from Switzerland. NB. Sat Nav does not list all roads in Chamonix. You can use a credit card at all toll stations.

By Train:- There is a SNCF railway station in Chamonix. The TGV high-speed mainline train will take you as far as St Gervais-le Fayet railway station, just 20km away. You’ll then nees to change for the SNCF line which serves all villages from St Gervais-le Fayet to Martigny (Switzerland).

Airport Transfers / Buses:- There are a wide number of companies providing private and shared Airport Transfer between Geneva and Chamonix. There are also various coach services such as SAT and OUI BUS who provide daily connections with Geneva, Lyon and Italy.
