As perfect as it comes

We have stayed at many rental properties but this is the best of all. We were attracted by the photos on the website but these under-sold the beauty of the setting. The property is in a secluded area on an ocean inlet with constantly changing scenery and wildlife. We could have spent the entire time on the deck or garden watching the day go by. Ultra-chilling. The property is beautiful and very well equipped. Scott, our host, was extremely helpful and was always available.. we spent a very pleasant evening with him drinking wine and sharing thoughts about the world. We intend to come back as soon as we can which is the highest praise we can give.. Malcolm & Sue

Fabulous home in stunning location. The view is simply awesome. Just sitting watching the otters and wildlife is mesmerising. Scott is a super host too.

The perfect spot for a wonderful getaway!

We had a wonderful stay with our kids, filled with memories to last a lifetime. The suit was perfect, and those views! Just beautiful. We spent the evenings on the deck watching the world/wildlife go by and planning our next visit.

The perfect getaway

A lovely private oceanfront property with a beautiful garden, and expansive deck. Scott was very welcoming and made sure we felt right at home. Marshmallows over a fire by the water was a highlight for the kids. Would definitely come back.

We relocated to Sooke 7 years ago after living in Costa Rica where we built and ran Villa Mariana, a high end, luxury vacation rental home in the jungle of Manuel Antonio. Marianne is originally from BC and Scott from Los Angeles.

We were looking for a home by the ocean that was slightly off the beaten path but still close enough to enjoy a Great Restaurant or a day of shopping.

Living at Seaside Cove feels like living in a watercolor painting, with the ocean view providing a pallet for an evolving landscape, of mountains, trees, wildlife ,and colors.
We have always loved nature and have spent many years in Costa Rica rescuing and rehabilitating everything from dogs and cats to sloths, coati mundis, even the occasional boa constrictor.

We value our creature comforts and offer our guests the same high standard of quality and detail that we enjoy in our home.

We enjoy hiking with our Dogs, taking an evening kayak or checking the crab pots for fresh Dungeness. Our favorite time is spending a warm afternoon picking berries, baking artisan bread and creating organic meals with ingredients from our garden.

Every effort is made to ensure our guests have their privacy and at the same time we are happy to make suggestions as to what to see and do during your stay.
