Great Place

5 Adult Couples. Ideal for us, good location and lovely setting. 5 double beds all with en suite / dedicated bathrooms. Recommended

Great house, great location

First of all, I need to mention Jean Baptiste. I have hired dozens of holiday houses over the years, but he has been the best vendor we've come across. Nothing was too much trouble. For example, I stupidly allowed my car to run out of battery and he went out of his way to resolve the issue. He was also a great source of local information, having lived in the area all his life. The house itself is a 16th century building with stone walls that are over 2 feet thick. It was therefore lovely and cool at all times, regardless of the temperature outside. It is an on-going refurbishment project (the top floor is as yet unrefurbished and out of bounds) but just counting the parts already refurbished make it a very large house. Although the refurbishment has been carried out relatively cheaply, it has been done effectively and made for a very comfortable experience. Being Provence, it was 32-34 degrees celsius most days . But the well thought out large shady areas and the lovely pool made sure no one ever over heated. In terms of the area, the house is perfectly located to explore one of the most beautiful parts of France. It's in between Bonnieux and Lacoste, and we spent a lot of time in Bonnieux in particular. The book " A Year in Provence" was set in this exact area, and was great to read while we travelled around exploring Menerbes, Roussilon, Gordes, Fomtaine-de-Vacluse, and countless other beautiful towns and villages. Overall, a great experience and I very much hope to rent the house again from Jean-Baptiste in the near future.

Beautiful secluded Mas

What a fantastic property! From the moment we enquired to Jean Baptiste, he was always very prompt in responses to us. We had rented the property for the week after our wedding for us and friends and family. The house is stunning and with a very modern interior. The grounds are superb with a fantastic pool with a small kitchen attached. It was a wonderful home from home and the cherry orchards that surround it had the best tasting cherries any of us have ever had. We can't recommend the property highly enough in such a beautiful part of Provence.

Beautiful building, lovely pool!

My friends and I all stayed in this gorgeous house for a week and had an amazing time. The building is beautiful and very tastefully done up, a real mixture of old meets new. The owner was great and very helpful. The whole area is so beautiful with lovely little French towns situated in the area, the scenery is like something out of a film. Hiring a car is essential. Also, bring insect repellent, there are some evil horseflies and and wasps in the grounds!!

Séjour idéal

Grande et belle maison au milieu des vignes et des cerisiers, à proximité de Lacoste et de Bonnieux, superbes villages perchés. Logement parfait et confortable pour 5 couples, lieu de vie très agréable et extérieurs bien aménagés, très grande table, salon, piscine et terrain de pétanque pour le bonheur de tous. Excellent accueil de J.B.et maison opérationnelle immédiatement grâce aux fournitures de base présentes. La localisation est parfaite pour une découverte du Luberon, Gordes, les Ocres de Roussillon et du Colorado, Bonnieux et sa forêt de Cèdres, Lacoste son château et sa fameuse pizzeria "Le Sade"...Lourmarin et les Gorges du Régalon pour les sportifs ! sans oublier les petits marchés avec d'excellents produits régionaux, miel de Lavande, huile d'olive. Bref une semaine trop courte et un merveilleux séjour.
