About this property

Amazing Views! Air conditioning! Close to Yellowstone Park's North Entrance!

NEW: Enjoy a soak in the beautiful outdoor tiled geothermal pools at "Yellowstone Hot Springs" near the Corwin Springs bridge, only 4 miles from this home! An amazing setting above the Yellowstone River, with magnificent towering mountain views all around! (See pictures in photo gallery.) Open year-round.

YELLOWSTONE VACATION HOME: This home is only 11 miles from the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park! A new park entrance road is now permanently open, and you can visit all of Yellowstone Park from here. This is the only major park entrance open all year to normal vehicles. If you're looking for beautiful views in the quiet seclusion of pristine Montana surroundings, with access to an abundance of outdoor recreation and relaxation, you will be delighted with your stay at our Yellowstone Vacation Home. (Please note: This home is on a hill, well out of range of any seasonal river flooding. We have our own well with delicious pure water that is tested annually.) You'll love the peace and quiet as you gaze at the mountains and the Yellowstone River while enjoying a meal or relaxing on the wrap-around deck. There you'll have a front row seat to magnificent sunsets over Paradise Valley in the crux of Yankee Jim Canyon, often with spectacular colors. A herd of elk can often be seen in the field below, grazing in the morning and evening (see picture and video). This home is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts. Bring binoculars or a scope to enhance the experience.

This 1200 sq. ft. 3 bedroom/1 bathroom cedar home sits on a one acre property that is fully fenced and gated, and has a nicely maintained lawn. Wildlife photographers, this place is for you! You are likely to see mule deer, elk, antelope, bald eagles, big horn sheep, rabbits and many bird species! You might also see an occasional group of rafters floating the river below. We have a fire pit in the yard where you can cook s'mores and enjoy family time (firewood provided.) Challenge each other to a friendly game of horseshoes on the lawn. (Horseshoe pits are set at a distance for families to enjoy.)

There are many fun things to do in the area year round. Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and river rafting trips are available nearby. Walking or biking on the quiet gravel access road to this home is a scenic adventure in itself.

The three bedrooms sleep 6 to 8 people, with one queen-size bed, 2 twin beds, a bunk bed, and 2 fold-up foam pads. Features include high-speed WiFi via Starlink, central forced air heating and air conditioning throughout, a wood burning fireplace, washer/dryer, flat screen TV with DVDs and Dish satellite TV, plus a CD player. There are a variety of games, DVDs and CDs for your use. We also have a library of interesting books about local area attractions, children's books and novels.
A cozy cabin feeling is engendered by the original fir woodwork on most walls and ceilings. The spacious downstairs bathroom features two sinks and a shower-tub. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a glass top range, dish washer, microwave, large refrigerator and a gas grill provided on the deck. This home is well supplied - we provide linens, towels, a hair dryer, all paper goods, and various soaps, trash can liners, etc. The comfort of our guests is important to us!

Please note: the bathroom is located downstairs and the three bedrooms are located on the second floor. See photo of stairs.

Please note: We recommend that you book raft trips, horseback riding, guided fishing trips, guided mountain biking, and other activities well in advance, with the local providers in Gardiner and Paradise Valley.

Hunters are also welcome at Yellowstone Vacation Home. This area of Montana, just north of Yellowstone Park, receives hundreds of elk migrating out of Yellowstone Park each winter. There is also a year-round resident herd of elk in the mountains just above the cabin, and mule deer are abundant in the area. Hunting, in-season, is open to the public on all of the vast U.S. Forest Service lands that surround the cabin for miles. You can literally just walk out the gate and hunt in the surrounding Forest Service lands. (License required.)

Please note: we have installed a ring camera on the outside wall by the front door so we can monitor the weather, and for security purposes. It is the only one on the entire property.

If you're looking for wildlife sightings close to the cabin and beautiful views in the quiet seclusion of pristine Montana surroundings, with easy access to the attractions of Yellowstone Park, and the fishing and white water rafting opportunities of Yellowstone River, you will be delighted with your stay at our Yellowstone Vacation Home!

This is a haven
We arrived the day the Yellowstone River flooded to levels never seen before. We still had clean water, power, air con! (except for 2 hrs the power company, who's line failed, had it back in a little over 90mins of us calling them) We spent 6 days at the house, and honestly, we're still sad to go. Bruce & Magdalena & Hubert we superb making sure we were OK and we didn't need for anything. 2024 we're coming back.

Nowhere better for a great relaxing stay.
The home is delightful, the facilities are excellent and the view spectacular. Two nights out of three the valley filled with Elk (we stopped counting at 200) We stayed at the end of May and the sun stays on the house till late in the evening and the company of rabbits and birds make it a peaceful place to end your day. Only 15 mins from Gardiner and the North Entrance of Yellowstone also make it ideal. The track leading to the house is best reached by a sturdy vehicle and I should imagine in the wet or snow a 4x4 is a must. Bruce & Magdalena were easy to deal with and helpful with questions. We cannot recommend this property highly enough and will definitely come back. Ian & Lally

Lovely
We had a great stay! The views from the house were outstanding and it was just far enough off the beaten path. The location was peaceful. The house was very clean and equipped with everything you could want or need. Our dog loved exploring the yard. Wildlife was plentiful. We saw more elk and antelope from the house than we did in the Park. Communication with the homeowners was excellent. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Including Yellowstone north entrance, restaurants, shopping and more! We can’t wait to visit this beautiful home again!

Yellowstone trip
If you like peace and quiet this is the place for you. The home was located in the mountains outside the north entrance to Yellowstone. Make sure you have a SUV because the road is rough going in (although surveyors were seen and we were told the town was going to do something about the road in the future. There are beautiful sunsets from the back deck and gorgeous stars at night. The kitchen is stocked with more spices and condiments than any other Vrbo and the home was extremely clean!!!! The washer and dryer are a plus. Wish we would have seen more wild life at the home but we saw plenty in the park. Make sure you drive the Bear Tooth Hwy. It is outstanding! Thanks for sharing your home. Kam and Ron Chattanooga Tn

My husband and I love this property because of its unique location in the middle of national forest, looking out over Paradise Valley and Yellowstone River. We lived here ourselves for 9 years and we love the pristine beauty of the Rocky Mountain wilderness.

Why they chose this property

It wasn't until we moved out in 2000 that we decided to turn this home into a vacation rental home. We wanted to share this location here with you all because of the absolute beauty of the surrounding area and the breathtaking views. The sun sets in the crux of Yankee Jim Canyon, directly in front of the deck, often with glorious colors!. As you sit on the deck you'll just feel the peace and quiet permeate you as you unwind and relax ...

What makes this property unique

Wildlife can be spotted regularly, especially in the meadows of Paradise Valley that can be seen from the wrap-around deck. And of course the close proximity to Yellowstone Park is another great attraction with all of its rivers, canyons, and unique thermal features, as well as its abundant wildlife. But our favorite activity is to soak in the natural hot springs in the Gardner River close to the 45th parallel in the Park. Rafting on the Yellowstone River and horseback riding can also be enjoyed close by. Fishing can be done 200 yards from the home in the Yellowstone River - just walk down the hill and there you are! We hope you will enjoy staying here as much as we do! Bruce and Magdalena Beall
