A Suite Retreat - Beyond Bed and Breakfast

In the Village of Whitecroft less than 10 minutes from the heart of Sun Peaks Resort, with a rustic meets industrial feel, our suite is the ideal spot for that romantic time away or even a quick recharge after a hectic week. With 650 sq ft of luxurious indoor living, and a 330 sq ft patio equipped with a hot tub, 2 person far infrared sauna, propane fire bowl and fire pit, it is perfectly suited for couples.

Space:
With a well appointed kitchenette and an outdoor BBQ, making simple meals is a breeze. Should you desire to create something more elaborate our main kitchen is also available for your use. The suite is located on the lower level of our 3 story home and is designed to make your stay feel 'better than home' to quote some of our guests. With an eclectic mix of rustic and industrial decor pieces, custom made furnishings, and luxurious, quality appointments, your time here will go beyond the usual B&B experience. Your space is peaceful and private with your own patio that boasts a hot tub, gas fire bowl, or wood burning fire pit for those summer or winter night's S'mores, all exclusively yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Guest access:
The middle level of our home is a shared area. It houses the main kitchen, living, and dining room areas, and has a rustic log home for curling up in front of the wood burning stove on a cold winter's night.

Guest interaction:
We understand that some people visit as a getaway and like to minimize their interaction with their hosts whereas others feel that interaction is very important. You lead and we'll follow.

Neighbourhood overview:
The Village of Whitecroft is 9 km's from the heart of Sun Peaks. When you're done with the bustle of Sun Peaks come relax in our quiet village and enjoy the serenity of our valley. A short 20 minute hike boasts a beautiful waterfall, perfect place for a warm summer days picnic or a cold winter days snowshoe.

Other things to note:
We support local artisans and as a result most of our suite's furnishings are made from century old reclaimed wood by a talented local artisan and friend, and many of the other decor items are one of a kind creations from some of the most creative minds in our area. We are very proud of our efforts to not only support local artisans and merchants, but our efforts to use sustainable, recycled, and upcycled products and pieces to create a unique decor feel. We also believe in choosing organic foods, so rest assured we strive to have the finest ingredients go into our meals.

Please note, due to allergies we are unable to host guests arriving with pets. This includes service and support dogs.

Private and comfortable

Abundant with tasteful and interesting decor, comfortable and luxurious furniture. Kitchenette well stocked, breakfast was of luxury hotel quality. Hot tub a delight. Completely private and hosts let you take lead about how much interaction you would like. If you are a larger person, you may find space slightly small. My friend and I had a lovely, relaxing stay.

Magical Experience in a Magical Place

Our host Isabel couldn't do enough for us, from the first welcome we were given a lovely tray of eats and Isabel served us the most delicous home cooked breakfasts. Nothing was a problem. As for the apartment, we were blown away, every thing was just perfect. We had the most relaxing and peaceful experience. We loved our private hot spa in the woods, we will have to try the sauna next time. We even got a visit from a deer out of the wood. We were close to Sun Peaks only a few minutes drive. We 100% recommend Isabel as a wonderful host and this magical place in the mountains. Thanks again Isabel. Cheryl & Steve

AWESOME!

Well now, where should I begin?? First of all, Isabel is an awesome host, this is her passion and it is very obvious! She has focused on every last detail and helps you to feel right at home in her home. We thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of home while away from home! She had welcoming treats for us and we enjoyed the landscape, the hot tub and the cheese and fruit tray she left for us. I only wish she had a place to stay everywhere we go! I would say she takes the cake except she makes the best breakfast pie we have every enjoyed. We have already been trying to figure out how to get back to her Suite Retreat to go snow skiing at Sun Peaks! Thanks Isabel :+}

Dieses Objekt ist mit so viel Liebe eingerichtet . Isabel hat uns inspiriert. Mit ihrem Frühstück/ Einrichtung / Ausstrahlung. Es ist ein wundervoller Platz zum entspannen.

Hi, I'm Isabel. As a born and bred Calgarian, my 28 years on the west coast never felt like home to me. All that rain and grey when my heart truly loves snow and sun. Fast forward to today and I'm living the dream. Dennis and I moved to Kamloops in the winter of 2013 with the intention of purchasing a home in an area that would be perfect for me to build my dream, a bed and breakfast. We happened upon our home quite unexpectedly and before we knew it we were packing boxes and making plans. After 2 years of renovations and getting things just right, A Suite Retreat opened for guests in the spring of 2017. VRBO is a new platform for us to showcase our suite, and we have met so many wonderful people from all over the world through our website. My three great loves have always been; cooking, interior design, and meeting new people from different parts of the world, what a perfect fit! This B&B is my dream come true, and we love this place so much how could we not share it?

Why they chose this property

The beauty that is Sun Peaks is only 10 short minutes away, and when done with the bustle of that village we retire to our peaceful, serene, tiny village of best of both worlds. The privacy of our two acre lot where there's no need for curtains or worrying about the curious eyes of passers by is what won us over, as we all know, home really is where the heart is.

What makes this property unique

The layout of our home was just perfect for what we had in mind for our Bed and Breakfast. An entire floor and patio, a total of 980 sq ft, for our guests to relax and enjoy their time away, exclusively theirs, entirely private. The rustic, comfortable, charm that a log home exudes is unescapable, inside and out. Many of our guests are in awe when they arrive, the pictures really do not do this place justice, but, I guess you'll just have to find that out for yourselves...
