Sympathetically renovated property perfectly situated in the medieval city of Vaison-la-Romaine
We recently stayed at this beautifully charming house in Vaison-La-Romaine and were over the moon with our time here. The house has been perfectly renovated in keeping with the old town characteristics and charm. It provided a large and comfortable living space with all the amenities we needed and more and was a short and beautiful walk down into the old town. Should we ever visit Vaison again we would most definitely want to stay in this beautiful house again.

Our fantastic month in Vaison La Romaine
What a truly wonderful house! It has been beautifully restored, and it is obvious that the owners have both put their heart and soul into the renovation. The original features are charming - we especially loved the ancient staircase - and the décor and furniture are in keeping with the historic ambience of the house. The view from the terrace is stunning. Everything that we could possibly have wanted was provided - even an umbrella which unfortunately we did use a couple of times. We had a wonderful month staying here, and thoroughly recommend both the house and the surrounding area. Just two points to note. Firstly, the stairs are quite steep, so perhaps not suitable for people with difficulties. Also, the roof terrace only has a low rail on one side, so may be a concern for parents with young children. Absolutely fantastic!

Beautiful and bright
We stayed here again during August and early September, and couldn't recommend the property more highly. Pictures don't even do it justice: the home is incredibly bright and well lit, even on the occasional cloudy day. The owner is super helpful and responsive. The fountain outside your bedroom window lulls you to sleep each night, and the morning sun wakes you up. Five stars for sure.

Yet another great visit
We have stayed here before, and everything was perfect as always. One big improvement is that the house now has fiber internet, and speeds are really fast. If you need to do any work, 200 Mbps speeds (just tested now) is more than enough! I should also mention how beautiful the house is from the outside as well as inside. We went to look as some postcards yesterday, and it is kind of cool to see the house you live in be one one of the cards!

We are presently living in Spain after 25 years in the US.I am from Belgium and my wife from the Philippines. While traveling in south of France in September 2012, by chance, we discovered Vaison La Romaine. Two days later, we fell in love with that old historic house and, although the transformations and repairs were very extensive,we never regretted it. The medieval city is full of charm and everyday, history will be present at your site.

Why they chose this property

Vaison La Romaine is located in the heart of the Cotes du Rhone´s vineyards and near the Mont Ventoux and the 'dentelles de Montmirail'.The medieval city and the Roman ruins of the lower town offer many activities and don´t miss the famous provencal market every Tuesday morning, a real feast for the senses! The park of Luberon is very close and the alpes a fews hours drive away.Orange Roman theatre is at 35 Kms.Nimes Roman arena 85 Kms and the wonderful city of Avignon, the bridge and its papal palace at 52 Kms .
The area is full of attractions, both geographical and cultural without forgetting...the local vineyards and the exquisite gastronomy!

What makes this property unique

This historical house will delight you and can easily and comfortably accommodate 6 people. It´s unique location in the heart of the medieval city, in a pedestrian area (public parking 1 minute away) will bring you peace and tranquility after many beautiful excursions and experiences in the region and surrounding areas.
If you are a bicycle fan, don' t forget that every year the 'tour de France' will pass or occasionally stop at Vaison before climbing the famous mont Ventoux!Get ready! There are many amateurs who choose Vaison la Romaine as a meeting point or point of departure for many climbs in the surrondings areas.
Vaison la Romaine is also a very cultural city.Every three years, she is the center of the chorales and up to 5000 singers come to perform from all around the world. The cathedral from the medieval city is under restauration, thanks to the help and assistance of its inhabitants. The medieval city is really alive.
