Charming historic 1930s home - Central Tucson, Minutes From Downtown, U of A

Stay in the neighborhoods original ranch house! This beautiful historic home has original wood floors, recessed cabinets and all the charm of a southwest Ranchita - in the center of Tucson. You are also a short drive away from downtown & UofA. Located in 'mid-town', just blocks away from groceries stores, shopping areas, golf, tennis, and plenty of Tucson's attractions.

This cozy ranch home has felt like home for decades of guests. It's perfect for everyone from families solo travelers! It has all the amenities of home from the fully stocked kitchen to the cozy linens and bathroom necessities. We are in central Tucson, close to shopping and restaurants.

***KITCHEN***
The quaint kitchen has all the basic amenities, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave, mixer, and toaster. As well as a gas barbecue in your private fenced yard or choose any one of the multitudes of restaurants that are within a couple of miles of the house.

*** LIVING ROOM ***
Enjoy the welcoming living area with a Roku TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and any channel you would like to stream. You can also use the TV adapter to stream your laptop to the television.

*** BATHROOM ***
We have one full, clean bath with a tub/shower that is accessed through the front bedroom.

*** BEDROOMS ***
The Ranchita has three bedrooms. Each with new comfortable mattresses for a great nights rests after exploring the desert. The back bedroom has a Murphy pull down bed that can be tucked away to make space.

*** LAUNDRY ***
Enjoy using your own large capacity washer and dryer.

***PRIVATE OUTDOOR AREA***
Enjoy the private fenced in yard/ patio adjacent to the home for grilling outside or just enjoying your coffee on the outside patio seating area.

In winter, relax after a day of hiking at Sabino Canyon, playing golf at nearby Randolf Golf course or watching a spectacular Arizona sunset. In the summer, enjoy the cooler desert nights, summer rates and soak up the sunshine.

While there is a T.V., cable is not available. You will although have access to a Roku (streaming online shows) and all local channels.

***Keep in mind there is only one bathroom.

The home is right in central Tucson and walking distance from Reid Park with an exotic zoo, beautiful walking/biking paths, and championship golf courses. Close to the grocery store, restaurants, and shopping.

Charming house

Very nice house, decorated in a personal style. Kelly is a very gracious hostess who responded promptly to any questions or needs that we had. Stayed there for 3 weeks and we were quite comfortable. Location is very convenient and close to shopping, restaurants and recreation.

Why they chose this property

We live in the home behind the Ranchita. The front home/ Ranchita is one of the original homes of the entire surrounding neighborhood. Back in the 30-40's there were no homes, it was only ranchland. The Ranchita was the original ranch house of the area!

There was also a very small building behind the Ranchita which is where we live. It was build upon greatly in the 70's.

The entire property holds a piece of Tucson history that is appreciated by all who visit.

What makes this property unique

From the outside, you can get a peek into the historic home with the exposed Adobe bricks. After passing through the unique mudroom you can feel the original wood floors below your feet, beautiful large windows throughout and recessed cabinets and all the charm of a southwest ranchita.
