Self-contained Apartment For A Couple In Country House Near Villereal

The apartment is situated at the back of the main house with it's own entry door. The living space is a lounge area with couch, table and chairs and a mini-kitchen with sink, fridge and two vitro-ceramic hob tops. There is a bathroom with a bath and one bedroom with a double bed. There is access to the garden from the bedroom as well as the back terrace and the entire space is for our visitors to relax and enjoy themselves. The garden is large and there is access to the swimming pool.

The apartment is furnished with an ironing board and iron, and a sound system. There is wifi access and guests can connect to the English language television via internet if they bring a computer.

Binou in the heart of the French Countryside

We had a wonderful holiday, The apartment was clean and well equiped, bijou, quaint and quirky. This was exactly as expected as the description and photos portrayed it. We were given a very warm welcome by the owners and invited to join them on the following day. The property is surrounded with wonderful views and is a short drive from the historic Bastide town of Villereal. The owners were happy to point us in the right direction for wonderful restaurants where the food was outstanding. All in all a fantastic holiday and we will be going back as there is lots more to see and do. Wonderful hosts, who felt like old friends by the time we left.

The property is in a beautiful and unspoilt part of France and the house which dates from the 15th. century has retained it's original character and style while being furnished in a modern and comfortable way.

Binou is close to the Bastide town of Villereal and within easy reach of other bastides and medieval villages. The attractions of the rivers Dordogne and Lot are within easy reach as the property is on the border of Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne, thus castles, canoeing, pre-history with paleolithic cave-paintings, walking, sight-seeing, wine-tasting in the Bergerac region. The rolling countryside of sunflowers, maize, plum orchards, vineyards and woods is a tranquil and relaxing invitation to holiday makers. Villereal also has a state run horse stud and hippodrome with night races in the summer. Many festivals and events occur in the holiday season.

The same tranquillity of the old buildings and landscape is translated into the style and pace of life in this part of France where a trip to the market and a cup of coffee in the bar become a simple but delightful experience. At every turn there are visual surprises and much to see and do. We are within easy reach of the Dordogne and it's many villages and historic sites and the rolling countryside of Lot et Garonne is a delight in all seasons. Great for walking, cycling, golf, festivals all year round, wine-tasting, chateaux visiting, tranquillity, restaurants and welcoming locals.
