We really tried to keep the beauty of each and every old architectural element we could save during the renovation and carefully mix it with the state-of-the-art modern additions, like Daikin AC/heating system with individual temperature controls in each room or Bosch kitchen amenities.

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location at a great price. Conveniently close to Central Park and with a subway station 5 minutes walk away. Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner and my two daughters. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit New York but likes to get away from the hustle of the city after a days sightseeing. Lovely places to eat nearby. (Sylvia's is a must visit restaurant if you like fried chicken!!) Cannot fault any aspect of this place. A big thanks to Julie for making us feel so welcome.
Nice location and very comfortable.
The property is located on a one way street just north of Central Park. We were very lucky and were able to find a parking place right across the street from the apartment. You have to pay attention to the street signs regarding days that you can park on what side. We were lucky again in that we did not need to move the car before we left. If you are not good at parallel parking you need to practice before you come if you are going to park on the street.
The owner was kind enough to let us have the keys and leave our stuff in the apartment early. She gave us a tour and showed us a book with local information in it. It was perfect for our needs. It was just me, my wife and our adult son. It is nicely updated with modern fixtures. There is a bedroom down stairs with a full bath and one on the main floor also with a full bath. We took the one down stairs with the walk out to the nice garden. The bed was very comfortable which was great because we were wore out each night when we got to it. I made good use of the coffee maker each morning. We enjoyed dinners at the dining table looking out onto the street. It is great how the area has been revitalized. The internet worked great.
The subway was a short walk away. If you are not familiar with how it works try to learn what you can before you come. There is a free app for your phone that shows the routes and there is Wi-Fi on the trains. Go down to the subway on the side of the street where the cars are going in the direction you want to go. Just buy a subway card that you will swipe each time you go down to the train. You can change trains without re-swiping the card as long as you don’t come up. Were there three days and $20 on the card was plenty.
Extremely well kept, very luxurious, with all of the amenities one would ask for.
This was my first time booking a place with Homeaway and let me just say the rental did not disappoint. Everything was perfect and exactly how it looked in the pictures. The place was clean and beautiful, a great value for the money considering it was hardly more expensive than a hotel room. Even parked the truck for free all weekend right out front. Will definitely do it again next year. Thanks for the experience!
