We really tried to keep the beauty of each and every old architectural element we could save during the renovation and carefully mix it with the state-of-the-art modern additions, like Daikin AC/heating system with individual temperature controls in each room or Bosch kitchen amenities.

Great location & ambiance

The Good - in a nice part of Harlem, 5 mins from Whole Foods and 10 mins from the subway. Beautiful interior, with classy decor and great warmth. Great cafes and restaurants nearby. Quality bathrooms and appliances. Overall, unbeatable value for the money in this very expensive city.

The Bad - maybe we didn't look closely, but while there is sleeping for 8, there are only 2 bedrooms. One of the beds is quite uncomfortable. The WiFi was unreliable for us over 5 days.

The Ugly - Depending on where & when you walk, you may come across unsavory characters conducting questionable 'business' or in an altered state. Not a big deal generally, but if you're with children you may find yourself outside your comfort zone.

Owner's Response: Thank you for a thorough Hollywood-inspired review! Re occupancy: we never host 8 people, though the apartment could easily fit 10 (1500sqf), 2-leveled, 2 baths duplex with 2 BRs upstairs and a loft downstairs... The layout is in the description. Seriously: the "bad" is "only two bedrooms", b/c it was a surprise ? :) Re the "ugly" speaking of the "altered" state: why not forward your complaints to the current city administration who, for example, plan to build a shelter on 56th street, right in the backyard of Carnegie Hall..??? How about THAT area..?? Didn't you notice a great deal of "altered state" all over the city nowadays..?? I, for once, would be so greatful for your support to keep the city clean!!

comfortable, spacious, convenient.

This is a very spacious duplex in a very convenient location..... two subway stations nearby... a wine bar/restaurant at the end of the block..... supermarket and pharmacy a short distance away and a 5 minute walk to Central Park..... we were there in winter so we were unable to take full advantage of the outside balconies. Would certainly recommend it for location and space.

Beautiful property in fantastic location.

4 of us stayed here for 4 nights in December and had a fabulous experience, the location of the apartment is great being just 4 blocks from the subway and an easy 10-15 min ride to midtown.

The quality and space with the apartment is stunning and a real home from home, having previously stayed in hotels in NYC we preferred this option and felt we could really relax when we came back after a full day out.

Amazing break

Just back from staying in this beautiful apt it was even better than we expected, there were four of us it could easily have taken eight people comfortably, the owner Julie left us with plenty information and sent her apologies that she couldn’t meet up with us.there was also a very good Italian restaurant at the corner of the street that Julie had recommended us to go to would highly recommend. Just a five minute walk to the subway as well would definitely go back to these apt. Carol. (Edinburgh)

Spacious, beautifully renovated, and luxurious

The property is a gem in NYC. It had all the amenities of home plus 3 balconies, a fully equipped kitchen and skylight. Rooms looked exactly as pictured on the website. There were 4 of us and the property could easily accommodate six. Owner was very responsive in communication.
