Excellent house for large family get-together

We planned a five day stay for our family to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of our marriage. The Cotswolds proved a good choice with plenty of places to explore during the day, including two of the most interesting National Trust properties, Snowshill and Chastleton, we had ever visited. Broadway House, one of several beautiful buildings clustered within acres of grounds, suited us well and enabled 15 of us to eat together and provided good, comfortable accommodation for us all. From the house were views across beautiful open countryside and there was plenty of space for the children to play safely and the games room was popular with the older children and some of the adults - partly as wi-fi was available there!! There was a problem with the drains but the owners, who live in one of the houses, responded immediately.

Large and clean countryside property

Accommodation was a lot larger than the photos implied. 2 full-sized kitchens. Dining table (indoor) for 16. Outdoor dining/seating for 16 also. 7 well-sized bedrooms with 6 bathrooms (we also had two extra mattresses as there were 16 of us). V clean and good bedding/towels. Owners were very responsive and accommodating, they live right next door. Beautiful views over the Cotswolds, difficult to reach by public transport. Plenty of parking space. No wifi inside the house.

Spacious but dated barn in beautiful setting

This is the best value large accommodation you'll find in the Cotswolds. Flagstone Farm is in a stunning location with beautiful views over hills and countryside. The outdoor spaces at this barn (Broadway) are a real treat.

The barn is spacious and comfortable, but somewhat dated. The pine furniture and dried flowers should have been left in the 90s, most of the showers flitted between freezing and boiling, and the sofas were all ripped.

There is no wifi in the barn and one of the twin bedrooms has restricted headheight and no windows - this is not mentioned on the property description.

However, we had a great time overall - and would probably come back as the price was so good. You get what you pay for!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice comments regarding the spacious grounds. I am sorry that you found some of the décor to be dated. We would have willingly helped sort out the shower pressure if you had contacted us during your stay. However I am pleased that you will be returning to Flagstone Farm and we look forward to seeing you here next July.

Lovely house in a great setting

The house was clean and warm and very well equipped - plenty of dishes, glasses etc and two dish washers were very useful!

The farm setting is beautiful with a safe area to free-run the dog. Would have given it 5 stars except for the lack of Internet access - only available in the games room where there were no chairs or places to sit.

Sainsburys delivered as did Asda and Wairtrose (to other cottages while we were there!).

Superfast Broadband should be arriving here in December and we will aim to have wifi accessible in the cottage following this!
