With all the comforts of a 5* Hotel and an unbeatable location in the heart of Whitstable, this is the perfect apartment for your seaside stay. The apartment is in a beautiful Eighteenth century building and has two double bedrooms and one single bedroom which can accommodate two at a squeeze. An extra cot is available to further accommodate families.

SLEEPING

The master bedroom has a designer King-sized Erdem bed and a large en-suite bathroom with extra-large bath and walk-in shower. The second double bedroom is tastefully furnished with vintage lamps, apple-box side tables and suitcases fashioned into a quirky chest of drawers. The third single bedroom includes a cabin bed which can be set extended to sleep two at a push.. There is an antique steamer trunk packed full of classic board games and beanbags for lounging in comfort.

Guests can arrange to have access to a secluded beach hut on the seat front.

LIVING

The open-plan living/dining room is light and airy with a large corner sofa. There is a large television with DVD player and FreeSat. The living room also boasts a classic book library and a wide selection of up-to-date DVDs. There is a selection of throws and quilts for cozy nights in and a stylish tripod lamp to light up your reading.

The oak dining table seats 6 and the kitchen/diner is a beautiful mix of vintage pieces with up-to-the-minute modern appliances. There is an oven, microwave, induction hobs and quality dinner service and tableware.

The apartment also has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble-dryer, fully working fire sprinkler system, plentiful beach towels.

There is a decked outside area with vintage deck chairs and an outside dining table and chairs. From the roof terrace there is a sea glimpse towards the Isle of Sheppey.

Enjoyable trip away

We stayed in the captains view in the middle of July and had a friends holiday that I won't forget, thankyou for the opportunity of letting us stay! The house was extremely clean and all necessities were provided for us upon arrival! Thanks again, would definitely book again!

Fantastic, spacious & centrally located

This is our second trip to the Captain's View. We love it here. Such a spacious appartment which is lovely & clean and very well equipped. It is perfectly located for central Whitstable & the beach. We are a family of four and would highly recommend. A really lovely place!

It's exactly what it says on the tin - A Stylish Boutique Apartment in the Heart of Whitstable

For two retired couples looking to enjoy the charm of Whitstable this apartment was ideal. Once we parked the car in the street opposite, we left it there for the whole holiday, as the location of the apartment meant that we were within walking distance of most of the places we wanted to see. On one day even went to Canterbury using our bus passes - the stop is a stone's throw from the apartment.

The quality of the finish to many aspects of the apartment is excellent with two luxurious bathrooms and lots of living space. There is even a little rooftop terrace for those pre dinner drinks. The kitchen has all mod cons and is fully equipped.

There were a few minor irritants such as loo seats that had worn loose on their fittings, a dodgy venetian blind and a slightly out of date information folder. However, Chris' response when we had a minor hiccup with the handle of the oven was admirable, as he was there on the same day with his tool box to remedy the problem and even took time to recommend a few local restaurants to us.

If we return to Whitstable, which is a charming place, we'll be looking to stay here again as it's a great apartment and you won't find more excellent hosts than Charlotte and Chris.

Super smart perfectly located appartment

The property is well presented with very comfy beds and a well kitted out kitchen. It is light and airy, and has lovely window seats with views over Harbour Street - I just sat and watched for ages over my breakfast cuppa. It couldn't be more conveniently located for the sea front and local restaurants. There is a lovely sun-trap balcony with a sea glimpse. Only thing to watch out for is the low ceilings in the upstairs rooms, but otherwise perfect!

The property was clean, spacious and ideally situated for exploring Whitstable.

We stayed in Whitstable as part of a 50th Wedding Celebration and factored in a couple of extra days as it was Bank Holiday weekend. We would have given our stay five stars but found parking in the town quite problematic and had to make use of the local car parks most of the time.

Whitstable is a beautiful seaside town on the East Coast of Kent. The High Street is bustling with independent shops, Michelin-nominated restaurants, excellent pubs and more. You can buy fresh fish from the Harbour, watch world-class Sailing Regattas or walk/cycle the excellent coastal path from Whitstable to Margate. In the nearby countryside, apple orchards and oast houses abound. Within 10 miles you can find the world-renowned Canterbury Cathedral, the evocative ruins at Reculver and the beautiful film-location village of Chilham.
