The Royal Mile Apartment - our two bedroom, well equipped holiday home is perfectly located to allow you to experience all that Edinburgh has to offer.

A unique property comprising of a large hall, a modern living/dining/kitchen room, a spacious bright bathroom with bath, shower and toiletries and then a few steps up to the two tranquil double bedrooms. Relax in the comfort of the living room where you will find a widescreen digital TV, high-speed wifi internet and a modern, fully equipped kitchen with cooking essentials.

The living room has a widescreen digital TV, a stereo with i-pod dock and high-speed wifi internet.

The dining kitchen is fully fitted with all modern appliances including microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and toaster. There are a full range of kitchen utensils, dishtowels, dishcloths, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher consumables as well as a selection of herbs, oils, flour, basic condiments, tea, coffee, sugar, foil and cling film.

Both bedrooms are extremely spacious and bright, each with a super king-size bed which can be split to make two single beds depending upon your requirements. Beautiful, hotel-quality Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels add a further touch of luxury.

There is plenty of cupboard space off the hall where you will also find iron and ironing board.

Entry to the building is from the Royal Mile where there is a security gate which will let you into the communal stairwell.

Please be aware that the apartment is on the third floor of the building and does not have a lift.

Edinburgh Castle. Holyrood Palace. Princess Street Gardens. The world-famous Fringe Festival and Hogmanay celebrations. The Six Nation Rugby at Murrayfield, countless bars and restaurants and great shopping for every taste and budget.

Right in the heart of the Royal Mile and a 7 minute walk from the Waverly Train station. Security gate at street level into building up 3 small flights, no lift , important to know if you needed a lift for elderly or assistance otherwise no problem and you enter a spotless well appointed flat. Everything works. We used the refrigerator and freezer and washing machine ...no dryer....hanging line in kitchen which worked fine. Beds and linen and pillows were fresh clean and super comfortable. I can't say enough about this flat. Marion was gracious and on time when we got there gave info if we needed but what I loved the most was the Location

Walk out take a left there's a crepe place for breakfast next to pastry shop across from a cafe and down the street is pubs shops churches architecture and at the end one mile away the Castle and the Scotch Whiskey Experience both highly recommended. If I ever do make it back hopefully one day to the Fringe Festival I will be sure to book well in advance here. Only used wifi for phone not laptops or surfing so had no issues. We had 3 adults here and were very comfortable and each own bed. I know it's on the Mile but the rooms are in the back over a courtyard so traffic and noise wasn't an issue at all. Then again it was after the Festival. I highly recommend and perfect for families and friends who all want to stay together in a fun central place where you are able to walk pretty much anywhere and can trust when you get back to the flat you can cook or drink or relax anytime you want and not be at the mercy of things being too late or not open Tailor made for that.

Perfect flat - perfect location - perfect host

Marion was the perfect host. She was extremely communicative prior to our arrival, and after we occupied the flat. She gave us wonderful suggestions and was extremely timely with her responses. We did not know it at the time, but we were there when the Fringe Festival was occurring. We were far enough from the craziness, but close enough to walk right into the middle of all of the festivities. Do understand that there is no elevator, and the flat is on the third floor. The unit is extremely well appointed with all of the comforts of home. It had a washer dryer, a very nicely appointed kitchen, a television and Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was a little bit spotty, but quite frankly, we did not spend enough time to warrant complaining about it. If we ever were to come back to Edinburgh, this is certainly the place we would stay. It gets my highest recommendation. If you have to store bags prior to or after staying at the flat, there is a City Stasher location about two blocks away from the unit. Marion told us about that as well, and it fit our needs exactly.
