About the property

3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom/shower and cloakroom. Valley, village and forest views

3 Twin-bedded rooms, each with air conditioning; Family bathroom with shower upstairs and convenient shower/toilet cloakroom downstairs. Good sized terraces for outdoor eating and generous, gravelled gardens in which to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Gated car parking nearby.

The entrance leads into the lounge which is comfortably furnished with two large settees a television and DVD player two elegant dressers and single chairs. Double doors and a window give onto the garden space.

There is a broadband internet connection with French TV possible. There is no telephone attached but voice and video calling is possible if you have a SKYPE account. Free between members VERY cheap to dial a fixed line almost anywhere in the world.

The Kitchen leads off the lounge and has a simple fridge, a dishwasher and kettle and coffee maker. It also has it's own door onto the double aspect terrace which has two roll-out awnings, a table and chairs; loungers and an umbrella.

There is a small, outside utility cupboard with a fridge freezer, washing machine and utility sink, and a portable, charcoal barbecue. This locker is used for storage between visits.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IN THE HIGH SEASON, FIRE HAZARD IS EXTREME SO THAT BARBECUES OF ANY KIND ARE BANNED!

- also the fireplace in the living room is now purely ornamental.

There are keys for the domain swimming pool and tennis court. These are not supervised and a simple booking system applies for Tennis; these are exclusively for the use of owners and visitors to Les Mas de St Pierre.

Notes:
We love this little house! We enjoy it's peaceful location and friendly neighbours. Eat as often as you like in the village restaurants they've never let us down! There are two bakers, two supermarkets 10 restaurants, Butcher, dress shops, Bank Post office and attentive, understanding and HELPFUL Local police. We are nearby too so that you can ask us to help if you need it. Make sure you ask lots of questions before you come as we have lived here for over 15 years and have lots of ideas. Our greatest pleasure is to see you go home happy and come back another time!

Haven in the South of France

We were a group of 5 all enjoying a well-earned rest. And this little gem was just the ticket!. It was the perfect location for our balance of sightseeing, relaxation and Golf. The house was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated and only a 5 minute walk down the hill to the cafes, restaurants and bars of the quaint village of La Plan de la tour. We used the new pool which is about 200m from the house - the views over the Domaine were spectacular! La Plan de la tour we felt was well located for our trips to Nice, the mountains of Gorge de Verdon and of course the French Riviera...St Tropez, Ste Maxime and so on. We had no issues while we were there but the property managers who live in the same Domaine called in to say hello and make sure everything was going well. Will we be back? Planning our next Golf trip already!

Super holiday location

Absolutely super location, very, quiet & peaceful with fantastic views. Plenty of room & well furnished. Plan De la Tour is a lovely village with many good restaurants & a couple of good shops. St Maxine has everything else on offer that you could want including a huge Carrefour supermarket, excellent seafront restaurants, night time markets & lots of great beaches. Tim & Marilyn are good hosts & are easily contactable.

Comfortable but ready for an upgrade

We enjoyed two weeks here in late September and overall were very pleased with the property although some upgrades are in order and we understand this should happen soon. All appliances are so old and some do not work as they should. There is a narrow curving staircase to the upstairs which could present a problem to anyone with a mobility challenge therefore it could not be described as handicap accessible. We enjoyed the silence when sitting outside enjoying the view and the bird songs. A great place to enjoy all the attractions of the area.

Owner's Response: This was a delightful couple who came a long way to see us. This IS the first year for this house and theses guests gave us a VERY helpful and constructive appraisal from which we shall work. Everything they listed is correct, but I will review our ad' but do not think we offer it as 'disabled accessible' In fact we HAVE turned people away whom we thought it may not suit. There are no steps to the ground floor but all the bedrooms are upstairs so it would be a cruel surprise for the infirm aged or disabled. The owners are indeed planning renovations especially to the kitchen and its equipment. We have seen a lot of guests this year and all have sung praises to its location near the village and its peace and quiet. We have bookings on there way already for next year and would love to see any of them again (not inevitably true!) these Canadian friends especially. Thank you both for your e perienced support!

Surrounded by vinefields, oak and pine forested hills, just a few minutes inland from the renowned Gulf of St Tropez, Le Plan de la Tour is ideally placed to trip out to excellent beaches to the East or to the West of the bay.

Grimaud Castle and Village, Port Grimaud, Gassin, Ramatuelle and Pamplonne beaches are all much easier to access from here.

Aqualand in Ste Maxime is a great hit with youngsters. As well as the newly renovated tennis court and swimming pool on the domaine, there are excellent Tennis courts at the Village club, with an enthusiastic coach for the experienced or beginner alike. Horse riders are very well catered for here, and over the hill towards Grimaud and Cogolin.

You can visit an Olive farm and its pressoir; Ostrich farm also in Ste Maxime; Tortoise sanctuary at Gonfaron or simply ramble through out the unspoilt countryside right out of your front-door.

We can introduce you to Bike hirers who will take you on a guided ride; Boat charterers (Don't forget your 'Permit' if you have one!) for anything from the smallest dinghy to very luxurious yachts and Motor yachts with skipper and crew; sailing clubs who will train or rent you small boats, and even try to find crew places on local race boats for the more experienced.

There are Jet Skis at La Nartelle Beach and Para-Kiting in the Bay of St Tropez. Snorkelling or Scuba diving trips too.

If you prefer not to drive all the way, park by the harbour in Ste. Maxime and catch a ferry to St Tropez Market; taxi to a terrific Pamplonne Beach Club, lunch and loungers and home again.

In land there are Lacs St Croix and St Cassien for totally different, fresh water enjoyment. St Croix sits at the western end of the spectacular Gorges du Verdon, France and Europe's 'Grand Canyon'.

There are two wine cooperatives in the Village, one offers a free Sunday 'Casse-Croute' - anything you DO pay for is EXCEPTIONALLY cheap.... you will surely repay them by buying some of their wine. Compare with the excellent quality wines at the second 'winery', slightly further out of the centre on the road towards Grimaud.

Think about coming out of the High season. The village is very welcoming, and there are events along the coast in most months of the year. You should see Father Christmas arrive in St Tropez!

Keen sailors will have heard of the Voiles de St Tropez - the largest of several spectacular, international yachting events focused on St. Tropez and attracting, hundreds of serious teams, and thousands of individual crew, as well as devotees and specialists in everything for the home grown sailor up to seriously exotic tastes.

From the gleaming varnish of classic yachts to the highly tuned, modern, international contenders have to be seen to be believed!
