About the property

2 bedrooms, 1 bathromm, heated-pool, tennis, barbecue...

Peaceful haven nestled in the lush greenery of the Black Perigord close to Beynac, the Milou House is ideal for family holidays. We finished carefully restoring it in 2013, and it now offers all the comforts of a modern home while retaining the charm of old stones.

On the first floor, the living room is organized around the chimney and the window opening on the fields. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped.

The 2nd and 3rd floors each have their bedroom, one is a luminous white room with a chimney and wooden furniture and the other, in the attic, is just like a comfortable refuge. The bathroom is equipped with a bath and a wide italian shower. The toilets are separated.

The outside of the tower are charmingly organized in terraces.

The first large terrace is suited for outdoor meals and barbecues. Just above, you will be able to relax in the large and heated 12 meter long swimming pool which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. It is shared with the hosts of the Maison de Milou.

Finally, sports enthusiasts can enjoy the private tennis in the woods, which is shared with the two neighbouring houses !

We do accept animals for an extra of 50€/animal.

Gorgeous, peaceful location.

A lovely idylic but private location yet close to some of the Dordogne's prettiest villages. The pool was well used in the hot weather where the bats would join us at dusk ! The tower was well equipped and comfortable with lots of character and the children loved sleeping in the loft room.

Outstanding holidays in an outstanding house

  • 5 of 5

We spent 2 fantastic weeks at the tour milou. All Pictures are real, the house is absolutely perfect with a good Quality, a beautiful surrounding and a great pool. My son loved this great pool, deep enough to dive and swim. The kitchen is small, but we cooked a lot. In 15 minutes you can walk to Beynac, we took there everyday our Baguette for breakfast. The tour milou is great, we can recommend it and I wasn't there the last time. From the terrace you have an outstanding view over the perigordian hills, there are only two houses around you, it's quiet and a good place on earth to relax. All rooms are very nice, my son loved his room under the Roof.

Thanks for such great holidays in such a great house! Just try, you will love it!

Wonderful setting.

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Tour Milou. The accommodation was cosy, clean and well-furnished with lovely views over the valley and woods. The location was wonderfully quiet and yet only a few minutes drive (or a 10 minute walk through the woods) to the beautiful town of Beynac, where there were very good restaurants. We spent most days exploring the Dordogne area and then relaxed with a bottle of wine on the elevated poolside soaking up the evening sun. The manager, Aurore, looked after us really well and was always on hand to assist us when required. The heated pool was not as warm as we would have liked, but that might have been due to the cooler weather. We would certainly recommend Tour Milou as a Dordogne base.

Brilliant accommodation in a fantastic spot!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at Tour Milou tired after a long journey but started to feel relaxed almost instantly. The accommodation was very clean and beautifully presented - the pictures on the website did not quite do it justice. Our kids were in the room at the top of the tower which they loved. The kitchen was small, but had everything we needed for a holiday. The pool was clean and well maintained with fantastic views. Over the week we were there we enjoyed a number of meals sitting outside and watching hot air balloons rising over the trees. The house is a 10 minute walk from Beynac which has enough shops to cover essentials and is a very popular tourist destination. Whilst we did make use of the car, it would be possible to enjoy a week without needing it much. Some activities we did included visiting Sarlat-la-Caneda, canoeing down the Dordogne and a night-time visit to Les Jardins du Marquessac - this was a real highlight!

Endroit très calme et bien situé

  • 3 of 5

The Milou Tower is located in the countryside just one kilometre away from the famous town of Beynac-and-Cazenac. It's a great location to enjoy the many attractions of the 'Perigord Noir' region. Surrounded by middle-age castles, century gardens, traditional cities and villages, you will have plenty of sightseeing activities to discover what makes this French region so typical and attractive.

For sport lovers, or just family activities, you will enjoy paddling down the river Dordogne, climbing the cliffs or exploring caves, fighting emotions when tree-climbing, or simply hiking in the forests and villages... For a special treat, you can even embark in a hot-air-balloon trip above the castles and villages.

From Monday to Sunday in the high season, surrounding villages one after the other host traditional markets where you can find the best products. The Saint-Cyprien market takes place all year long on Sundays and will be a great way to start you week with us.
