This apartment is just a short walk to one of Portland's most popular neighborhoods, Alberta Arts District -- full of restaurants, galleries, cafes, shops, and more. The house is also just a block away from public transit, a grocery store, food carts, and a brewery. It is a great spot to land while you explore all that Portland has to offer.
This is the top floor of a triplex. It's a cute little apartment in an old Portland house with lots of character. The kitchen is stocked, the beds are cozy with nice linens, and the living room has a fold-down couch if you need an extra place to rest. Sleeps up to 5.

POLICIES / OTHER INFORMATION:
I have found over time that every VRBO is different and every guest’s expectations are different when they book a short term rental. It is my goal to make sure that I am as transparent as possible so that you can make an educated decision on your choice of where you would like to stay!
NOISE: No excessive noise. No parties. No yelling. Quiet hours are 10pm - 8am
SMOKING: No smoking anywhere on the property
CLEANING: Sometimes a cleaner does a poor job and it catches me (and you!) off guard. Please let me know if the cleaner missed something(s) important and allow me or the cleaner to come fix the issue. I assure you that I strongly value cleanliness and any lack of cleanliness is not on purpose.
OLD HOUSE: This apartment is located in an old Portland home. Old houses come with a lot of unique charm. However, they also tend to have issues that crop up – not out of negligence, but just out of simple wear and tear and age. You may hear creaky floors, squeaky doors, smell old house smells, find windows that are a bit funky to open, worn spots on the floor, etc. I try to address issues as quickly as they arise, but some issues are not going to be possible to address during your stay. When booking this unit you are acknowledging this reality and that you are not going to be met with a fancy new construction or brand new furniture. That being said, if there is something glaring that you notice, please tell me. I am not inside the apartment on a regular basis and I rely on cleaners to update me.
MULTI-UNIT HOUSE: This apartment has an apartment below it. As such, you will may hear the normal noises of other tenants in the building. This may include: people walking, pets occasionally barking, muffled voices, muffled music, muffled TV noises, furniture being moved, the occasional thing being dropped on the floor. Please keep aware and be respectful of the tenants below you. Wear socks inside, keep their dogs from excessive barking, and keep quiet hours of 10pm - 8am. If you notice the downstairs tenants causing excessive noise, especially during quiet hours, please let us know. If you would like us to send over a noise machine for your stay, please let us know. By booking this unit, you acknowledge this reality of potential noise.
IN A CITY: This apartment is in the "city" part of Portland and not so much the "neighborhoody" part. Expect street noises and other things that go along with bigger city-scapes. Also because it's an old house, the noise insulation isn't amazing.
PET POLICY: All pets must be approved in advance. You must confirm that the animal has no history of property destruction, indoor urination/defecation, aggression, or excessive noise. We expect you to have the animal with you or crated when you're not home. In order to maintain an allergen-low environment for other guests, we have our cleaners do deep cleans after every animal stays there and hire a carpet / upholstery cleaner if necessary. Any undisclosed pet will result in a large penalty. FEES: Dogs and cats: 14 days or less: $100 // 15 days or more: $200. This fee does not cover any damages caused by the pet that result in excessive cleaning or repairs.
ESAs / Service animals: If you have an ESA animal please send us a copy of the paperwork including the letter from your healthcare provider. If you have a service animal trained to help you with a disability, we will be asking you the following legally allowable questions:
1) Is the service animal required because of a disability?
2) What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? (Your disability does *not* need to be disclosed)
