Villa With Private Infinity Pool And Spectacular Sea, Mountain And Town Views

Overview

Property

Updated: 03-Dec-2016
Panoramic Views Yet Only 400 Metres From The Beach, Bars And Restaurants

The large private infinity pool (protected by a child-proof fence) overlooks the sea and leads onto a terrace that provides the most spectacular views in Mojacar - in an arc of about 210 degrees the Mediterranean fills around 90 degrees, the town another 90 degrees and the mountains the remainder; Garucha and more can be seen in the distance. There are a large range of sunbeds, sofas, tables and a BBQ for al fresco dining. The house has another terrace, a balcony and a solarium, one or the other of which will provide day long sunshine at all times of the year. The lounge/diner leads out onto a terrace. The house has air-conditioning / heating throughout. Three of the bedrooms are doubles and en suite and lead either directly onto the veranda or a balcony. The 4th bedroom has twin beds and a cot with a WC and basin in the adjacent room.

There is a Sky Box system installed so if you wish to bring your own Sky Card the channels that you have at home will be received - if there is no card installed, then normal free view TV will be received showing most of the UK terrestrial channels as well as Spanish terrestrial TV.

The villa has free Wi-Fi.

About the Owner

The photo is of me and my daughter a little while ago but it's the most recent one I have of me - sorry.

I bought the villa in 2010 and have changed it a lot, the work was carried out by a company of Spanish builders to a very high standard - the Town Council are strict and I had to have two architects; I hope you like the work. I love Mojacar and go there as often as my work in Abu Dhabi permits me to. I will retire in a year's time and will live in the villa most of the year from then on. In the meantime please enjoy it and the views which are spectacular.

For your information: Home & Away have added a Service Fee to all bookings, and this is beyond my control; however I have reduced my fees, which haven't risen for at least 3 years, by 5% to absorb most of the additional costs.

STUNNING VIEWS

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 weeks and had a lovely holiday. The villa is spacious, comfortable, with the most gorgeous views over the resort of Mojacar playa and the nearby mountains. Both the owner, Chris and his agent at the resort, Christine are very helpful and easily contacted if required (we had a small issue with the hot water). We made the most of the sunshine on the roof terrace which got the sun almost all day - we didn't use the pool area as it was always in shade this time of year (Nov).

We had good internet and free view tv at the villa which meant we didn't have to go out to find entertainment unless we wanted (although a lot of places are closed in Nov)and the kitchen facilities were more than adequate to cook up our favourite meals. For a meal out we highly recommend Bellavista which is a 20 minute stroll along the seafront.

All in all we had a comfortable, relaxing holiday and we certainly intend to visit again.

Lovely property!

  • 4 of 5

Great stay at this spot. Very spacious and well appointed, both Chriss' lovely to deal with, questions were responded in a timely manner.

It is high on the hill so a bit of a challenge to walk down to the paseo, late in the season meant that the only sun exposure was on the roof top, so no swimming in the pool. And the view was spectacular.

Fab villa

  • 5 of 5

I hav been going to this villa for the last 2 years with my girls friends and what a villa . The views are stunning and our favourite place is sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine and listening to the sea. The villa itself is lovely and has everything you need. Christine who looks after the villa for the owner is very helpful. Well worth a visit Alison M

Unfortunately the photos do not match the villa

  • 3 of 5

I wasnt going to write a review of this property as I came to agreement with the owner for compensation as the state of the villa was not good. I can't however sit back and read the last review , without comment . Im not sure were the last person stayed but it was clearly not in the villa we did . Firstly I would like to know where he was going to squeeze in 4 extra people as the villa only sleeps 8, maybe on the sofas were we spent most of our nights as the mattress was so uncomfortable ? (it was replaced by the owner the second week) I have to comment on 3 beautiful outdoor seating areas. The views without question are fantastic, the furniture and outside facilities were not. Two dirty rusty bbqs , ripped seats, broken furniture, parasols with no bases, weeds , broken tiles in pool , rusty chairs , stained sun bed cushions I wont go on. As I said , I was treated fairly with the compensation but reviews are to help people decide whether to spend there hard earn cash on a holiday , the last review in sept 2016 I feel is somewhat of a fictional fairy tell

Owner's Response: Reviews on Home and Away are added by clients and they cannot be withheld or amended by property owners. Any review will reflect the actual comments of the guest who has taken the time to write it. I am very disappointed that Naomi, who stayed in the villa just a couple of weeks before Hugh, has deemed it necessary to challenge Hugh’s view of the same villa. I do not agree with Naomi’s comments but will not go into details here as I believe that the customer is always right. I did my very best to satisfy Naomi during her vacation by replacing the mattress that she complained about as soon as I possibly could and, as she said, treated her fairly by compensating her for her perceived loss. She accepted my goodwill offer of compensation, and we agreed that the mattress was the only issue that had a material impact on her holiday; I think her comments are therefore inappropriate and unnecessary. For the information of guests, each April I conduct a repairs, renewal and improvement exercise in the villa in order that it remains in good condition. Finally, I would like to point out that the villa is rented out for most of the year and I rarely receive any negative comments which is evidenced by the reviews on this site and those in the Visitors’ Book that is kept in the villa - a scanned copy is available if required.

Absolutely amazing holiday

  • 5 of 5

The Villa was absolutely stunning and in the most magnificent surroundings. High up at the top of what locals lovingly nicknamed cardiac hill this beautiful property gave us ample opportunity to experience Mojacar from a totally different view point than we had seen before. The Villa itself is extremely roomy, well furnished and could easily sleep 12. The lounge has stairs leading to the lower floor, I would suggest a hand rail as these stairs can get slippery if people havent dried their feet properly before coming inside. 3 beautiful seating areas externally plus that fantastic infinity pool. . What an absolute gem of a property and Mojacar is a beautiful characteristic place to be. I definately highly recommend this property and nothing was too much for the owner

Splendid house - very recommendable

  • 5 of 5

Stayed there for 9 nights with four children. Splendid and large house with excellent facilities:

-large and deep pool, the favorite place of the children

-beautiful views to the sea, mountains and the village

-large gas grill on the terrace where we cooked delicious dinners almost every night.

We were there with children and found it perfect place for everyone. Also enjoyed the local Restaurent/Bar (Titos) at the beach just down the hill.

Chris (the owner) and Christine (contact in Mojacar) are very friendly and helpful.

The best recommendations from

Location

From the Owner

Mojacar was recommended to me by my very good friends who have had a property there for five years - they said that the town would suit me as it had a good selection of restaurants, bars, shopping and other attractions that I would like, and they were right. I have lived in the Middle East for a long time so I wanted a home that had the sun and a good life-style. My main requirement was for a sea view but I didn't think it would be possible for me to get such a good one. I think Mojacar is great and I am looking forward to living there full time when I retire

Mojacar is a tranquil little resort that is a firm favourite with families and couples looking to enjoy a relaxed Spanish atmosphere and plenty of modern facilities. Mojacar pueblo is an enchanting hilltop village of white washed stone houses that rise above the modern beachside (Playa) resort. The village is heavily influenced by past and present artists, and the winding little streets, art galleries and traditional tavernas still exude a bohemian atmosphere. The beach at Mojacar is a 7Km stretch of golden sand and is actually many different beaches; Mojacar beach itself has been awarded the European Blue Flag status.

Although Mojacar is the place for relaxation there are plenty of watersports activities including scuba diving and windsurfing. There is also a nearby golf course or why not try horse riding through the spectacular Sierra Nevada National Park. Mojacar features plenty of bars and restaurants and can be a lively place during the summer evenings.

Facilities

From the Owner

Quite simply, the views are absolutely stunning and you can hear the waves when you sit on the terrace or either of the balconies; it very relaxing sitting in the easy chairs on the terrace with a glass of something nice listening to the waves lapping against the shore. The property is very convenient for everything, the sea, shops, bars and restaurants - I can walk everywhere if I want to. I like to read and I enjoy sitting on the 'Romeo and Juliet' balcony reading a good book, taking in the views with a glass of something nice. A pool party with a BBQ on the veranda with friends is also a great way to spend a day / evening - when my family was there in august there were 15 of us in the pool, and it wasn't crowded.
