Situated on a freshwater lake, this impressive property is in the modernist vernacular and benefits from an abundance of full height, full width, panoramic glazing - affording fantastic views across the lake and a wonderful light and airy feel to all of the living areas.

'The cantor levered deck areas appear to “float” across the lake as they are cleverly suspended away from the main structure and towards the lake itself, giving you the impression of almost sitting over the lake!'

With a palette of sharp cream render, intricate zinc finishes and expansive panoramic glazing, the lodge is a real head turner and has all of the potential to become a modern classic!

The lounge is located on the top floor, providing wonderful elevated views across the lake, nature reserve and beyond.

Unfortunately I am not actually the owner of Muntjac Lodge, I really wish I was!! - The lodge is owned by a good friend of mine & we are absolutely delighted to be marketing this really special property.

So let me share with you a little about the uniqueness that is the Lower Mill Estate.

“4 couples and 3 young children (aged 2, 3 & 4) all stayed for the weekend at Muntjac Lodge. The place was ideal for a group gathering with an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. The rooms were in great condition and exactly as described on the website. We had one minor issue in that there was no iPod docking station in our property but when I told Jamie (Guest Relations) he went out to a local supermarket and bought one with his own money! Great service and exactly what you expect for the price and quality of the property. The Spa is of excellent standard with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room. The only thing the property lacked was Wi-Fi and Sky TV (apparently this is because the signal is poor in the area but it does come in useful for men to watch sport!!) We all discussed making the weekend an annual event and we would be hard-pressed to find a more suitable location. We just might need a larger Lodge as there may be more kids next time!”

Great Property

We booked the Muntjac for a last minute mid week break for a family get together, we were celebrating a 70th birthday and hence wanted somewhere special to mark the occasion. We stumbled on Mutjac Lodge and made an enquiry to the property manger, tim Haywood, he responded to us within 45 minutes of our enquiry and we proceeded to make a booking through their website. The whole process was very professional and we I was most impressed. The bar was now set pretty high and I did wonder if the lodge would live up to the description and the experience to date.. On arrival, we were stunned with the property, it is in the most idyllic part of the estate, very private, with far reaching views of the nature reserve and the lake, with no other houses to mar the view, most incredible! The house is stunning, it looks like there has been a lot of money spend on it with lots of very special touches like fully folding patio doors, marble bathrooms and generally very high standard fittings and furniture. We had a most fantastic break, full of wonderful memories and the house was the prefect setting for our family celebration. The Spa is also five star luxury, lovely swimming pools and superb facilities. I think we hit the jackpot with this one. Highly recommend property, the only critism would be that we had to pay extra for the onsite wifi, which would have been nice if it had been included.

Spectacular

This is an exceptional villa! My wife have been going to the Cotswolds for many years and we stayed in lots of different properties. This one is very special. We absolutely adore those big windows in the living room overlooking a lake and just trees. Since it's an open plan design you have the same view from a beautiful and really well equipped kitchen. All beds are very comfy, upstairs shower big and very posh.

Overall 12/10 and 5 stars!!!

Muntjac Lodge is a unique holiday villa, situated on the prestigious Lower Mill Estate, the UK's first and as far as I am aware, only, residential nature reserve. The estate is a real haven of peace and tranquillity and in my opinion, the perfect antidote to the stresses + demands of everyday life and forgive me for perhaps being presumptuous, but I do think you are going to absolutely love it!

The estate consists of over 550-acres of unspoilt countryside, with 8 beautiful lakes to explore. It is also pretty flat, which makes for some lovely walks & cycle routes. All of our holiday homes are just a few minutes walk from the award winning onsite Luxury Spa facility, set at the very heart of the estate. The spa itself consists of a luxury slate lined (heated) indoor & outdoor pools, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gymnasium. There is also the UK's only Eco_pool, a naturally filtered outdoor plunge pool, which is a total blast, if not a little on the cold side. There is lots to do in the local area, as the estate is located at the very heart of the Cotswolds Water Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
